Project specific rubric Restaurant Tables

with table leg.
____ Steel wool the base until all loose material and surface is
brushed.
____ Paint base with gloss enamel paint (spray). Two thin coats.
____ Cut ¾” plywood to specified dimensions.
____ Cut barnwood to proper length. Remember: we only have
so much barn wood to use. Cuts must be correct.
____ Cut and fit 1x trim molding.
____ Trim molding must be stained.
____ Install trim molding using power nailer. Counter sink nails
so nail head is not exposed.
____ In a dust proof area, mix two part epoxy in mixing cup.
____ Pour epoxy on table and allow to saturate wood and voids
In table area.
____ Allow epoxy to level. Move epoxy around project area to
fill voids. Do not over brush.
____ After 24 hours, apply a second coat. Be sure there are no
leaks where epoxy is lost.
____ Remove all drips and imperfections.
____ Mount tabletop to table base.
____ Reuse as much material as possible.
