This is something this past year that I have really


focused on. Last year I had a colleague who lost her
dad suddenly early in the school year and the rest of
the school year she wasn’t herself, didn’t enjoy her
job, and really did a disservice to the students she was
teaching. Due to this, I really have tried to make a
point to have my classroom be a place where I want
my students to succeed. I want the school to be a
place that is respected in the community where
students love to be. I work with my principal on ways
to continue to improve the kindergarten program so
that people want to send their students to our school.

I have a high standard for personal integrity with
how I talk to and treat the children that come into my
classroom. I let them all know they are appreciated
and I try to make learning fun for them so that school
is a place they enjoy being. I try to create an
atmosphere so my students strive to be life long

professional responsibility is through completing a
Mandated Reporter course online. Through this I
learned what it meant to be a mandated reporter if I
