Student Writing Goal: My renewed writing goal is to turn in a well put together writing assignments. I will strive for an
A paper. I know that I am very much capable of getting an A. An A in any major letter grade for any writing assignment
that will contribute to my long-term academic goal.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose to this paper was to create a friendly, understandable, essay that summarizes and explains, with
detail, which individual was responsible for the demise of Macbeth. Macbeth was manipulated by his own
wife and his downfall stated early. I stated, with detail, how Macbeth slowly but surely destroyed. I explained
how manipulation was his biggest downfall and how no one should be manipulated like Macbeth.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
Unfortunately, I turned my work in late, which did affect my overall grade. I did pass the assignment with an
80%. I was able to accept that grade, but I do know that if the assignment was turned in on time I would have
gotten a higher grade and passed this assignment with an A easily. Therefore I am happy with the outcome
and my final grade.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
Like in every other assignment I completed a refection sheet for, I feel like I did preform very well in my use
of vocabulary and my sentence structure. There were very few faults that I found in my essay when I went
back to revise it. I did somewhat started giving up at the end as I lost interest and just wanted to complete the
assignment. Overall I feel like I did well in most aspects.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I feel like I did not need to go and revise this assignment as I know I did well, but I still took time and went
back and revised the assignment. I did find very few mistakes, but the mistakes I did go back and fix were
mistakes that in fact did not have to fix. I personally decided that the sentence would sound better with a
better and/or stronger, meaningful word.
What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I am still having a hard time turning the assignments in on time as it takes me while to get started and it most
certainly takes me a while to complete the assignment as I am a perfectionist and I add to much detail. I need
to compromise and make sure I don’t add excessive detail and make sure the assignments are turn in on time.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I was striving for an A, like all my other assignments but unfortunately it was turned in late and I barely
scarped the surface of a B. That grade did in fact effect my overall goal of passing senior English with an A. I
know if I keep pushing myself I might be able to at least get close to a B or mostly impossible, at this point,
an A.
