Stage 3 – Learning Plan


Learning Activities:

Introductory Activity:
 Present the PowerPoint presentation, “Fantasy versus Reality.”
 The teacher will ask students what they know about fantasy and reality.
 The teacher will reiterate the definition of fantasy and reality before starting the
story telling.
 The students will be given two sticks (the fantasy stick and reality stick) that
they can raise when the teacher will ask if the scenario is either a fantasy or
reality.
 The teacher will tell the mechanics of the participatory storytelling game.

Developmental Activity:
 The teacher will introduce the story, “Christmas wishes of Drey and May.”
 In the story, the students will identify if the scenario is a fantasy or a realistic
scenario.
 The teacher will ask the students why do they think so.
 After the story, the students will answer the reading comprehension.
 The students will be asked the importance of learning the differences between
fantasy to reality.
