As the lead Communication assistant, my first task is to create a survey, along with a

short informational video and weekly poll to encourage employees’ interaction in the company.
It’s a new addition to be included at each monthly meeting. They want to test run on
participation to help open a means of importance in communication.
First, I will use a web tool for mapping out ideas for the Google Form. We want to
capture our viewers with simple bold lettering and slight color. It will have questions pertaining
to the services, room for improvement, suggestions and ideas.
Now that is completed, we need to upload via Google Drive. From there, data can be
gathered, and a pie chart can be made in Google Docs. This will give a sense of what areas need
improvement and brainstorm ideas using a mapping chart tool. Once we have a broad idea of
what needs attention, we can continue onward.
As soon as enough evidence is gathered, a short PowToon will be made about the
importance of effective communication. It will be a quick 5-7 slides, each leading up to the types
of communication and possible how ineffective ones can create issues. Managers want them to
know that each voice is important and together it can be a moving force.
Afterwards, create a weekly poll on certain topics to get an idea of how people feel on
current topics. Each week, a Department head can put a question in play for employees to engage
in and then back to pie charts and making room for improvement. Keep information shared
through Google Docs, this will help with the live interactive part to make it easier for Managers
to include ideas.
Our hope is that effort and data will help encourage employees to communicate more
often. This should develop a trust and make everyone feel important. Perhaps, infographics each
new week as well showing progress or even showing failure. Hopefully, it’ll improve
productivity because employees might feel happier working in a place, they feel like contributing
and thriving in.
