data flow among all.
• Each department has its own system for collecting the data an analysis
• IT department is taking care of too many applications supporting various
departments which is not manageable.
• The data transfer from one department to another department takes time
and causes delays in processes like delivery of products etc.

rectified quickly.
➢ Customer responsiveness will increase.

of time will become very easy and fast.
➢ The operations of the company will become smooth and seamless.
➢ This will help in building the falling brand name of the company.

4. As the company has its own IT department which supports all the departments
individually, therefore the company can has its own internally developed system
which will be a better and cheaper process for the company. Internally developed
system can be a better option because:
• Already company has various applications for various departments.

application with single database management center.
• The IT team internally can customise the application according to the
requirements of the company at any point of time.

6. Centralized IT Architecture:- Centralized architecture means that the control panels,

associated power supplies, input, output and reader control modules for each access
device are located in a central location.

Decentralized IT Architecture:- Decentralized means that there is no single point

where the decision is made. Every node makes a decision for it’s own behaviour and
the resulting system behaviour is the aggregate response.

Distributed IT Architecture:- Distributed architecture requires the associated power

supplies, input, output and reader control modules be installed in close proximity to
the access device. Assuming components are of equal quality, either system will
provide the same performance capability and reliability.

Centralized IT architecture is most appropriate to implement ERP in a company

because all the data and information has to be stored in a single database system
and can be distributed and shared by anyone in the company.
