INSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY


Culture and society are two closely related
concepts. For culture to exist and to be
developed, it needs human interaction. It
needs people to interact with one another,
and it needs people to practice it
continuously. Without society practicing
their common culture, the culture may cease
to exist.
Culture is also essential to society because,
without culture, society will be dull and will
not continue to thrive.
A society without culture is like a body
without soul and vice versa.
THE ASPECTS/CHARACTERISTICS OF
CULTURE
1. Culture is Dynamic/Social
- Culture is not exist in isolation. It’s
product of society. It develops through social
interaction.
2. Culture is varies from society to society
- Every society has a culture of its own
that differs from other societies. The culture
of every society is unique to itself/cultures
are not in uniform.
3. Culture is shared and contested given of
social differentiation.
4. Culture is learned.
5. Culture is transmitted.

PRACTICE
Group Presentation
- Divide the class according to their
ethnic group. Each group will discuss
their own beliefs, customs and
traditions and habits.
ENRICHMENT The video clip will be played on the board
“Video clip” regarding the culture and
society of the Filipinos.

EVALUATION
The class will make a reflection paper about
the culture and society observed in each of
their community based on the video
presented.
