1. What communication settings are they in?

As the first picture shows a group discussion and the last two pictures show two people having a
conversation, the communication setting the people in the pictures in is interpersonal
communication. The communication that is done are not only within one but with the interaction
of another person or group of people instead.
2. How do we communicate with others?
We communicate not only through having a talk or conservation with other people but with our
own gestures and non-verbal actions as well. Communication to others is within reach just by
simply making sound, moving our bodies and doing signs.
3. What do you understand about the communication process?
Communication process follows a path in order to achieve the goal of successfully communicate
the idea. In addition, it can also happen two-way.
4. What are the different communication channels and barriers to effective communication?
The pictures show that face-to-face conversation is one of the communication channel the people
used although for the last picture, there was a use of a written letter being handed over to the other
person. On the other hand, barriers shown is noise for the first picture, difference in viewpoint or
perception for the second picture, and physical disability for the last picture.
5. Why do managers often fail to communicate effectively with their employees?
Leaders fail to effectively communicate when the communication is only one-directional. Most of
the time, it is only the manager who should always have a say about something and all the other
employees fail to reach out their voices and be heard. This is why communication between an
employer and his employee should be two-way.
6. What can possibly arise as a struggle, clash, serious disagreement and argument about something
important?
Conflicts may arise from different professional opinions. The ones involved in the communication
process may have a different view or belief from the others and that his outlook may not also be
mutual to what others think as well.

7. How can we avoid such struggles or disagreements?


Being open and giving a chance for everyone to be heard is the best way to avoid clashes or
disagreements. No misunderstandings should happen and that is why listening to other people’s
voices boy making the stage be theirs is also important.
8. What recorded or written documentation is often used to inform people of what happened during
the meeting and define the next step planned?
During a meeting, someone or a secretary in particular is writing the important details that are
being tackled. The summary of what has been planned and mentioned in the meeting that was
written by the secretary is called minutes of the meeting or meeting minutes. It is the instant written
record of the meeting.
