Assignment Title: Macbeth’s downfall

Student Writing Goal: My goal is to pass this class with an A or at least a B. I will achieve it my turning in all my wok
and making any corrections that I can do so my scores won’t be low.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to write about a king who lost everything. Macbeth was the king
of Scotland and the way he became king wasn’t the best way. His fortune was told by some witches and
hearing that made him change is mind about his future and to the people around him. His downfall was
because of the witches and it cause a huge problem in his life.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I did well on this assignment, I got a B which is a good grade for this class. I only made small mistakes and
didn’t word out my essay good enough. It sounded like I was talking about there was two people in
Macbeth’s downfall when the witches were the one at fault.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I gave good quotes in the story and how the witches were the start of Macbeth’s downfall. The explanation of
how the witches implanted the idea of him being king. Macbeth told it to his wife and then it started to go
crazy from there. The witches gave him the idea that he will be king.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I choose to revise the paper because I wanted to get a better grade. Once I fixed the correction it would have
brought my grade a few percentage higher. The corrections were small but it’s for my grade. Fixing the small
mistakes helps me learn and get better and writing essays.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next assignment it would have more information based on the topic of the assignment. Extending the
assignment to a good brief knowledgeable source will raise my grade by a lot. Finding better sources will also
make my paper sound more believable and like if I knew what I was talking about.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
In my previous goal it made my paper look better by its font and it spacing between each paragraph. Making
the passing grade and getting a better score then what I set my mind to a 70%. I got a 80 percent on my paper
and it surprised me on how much my writing has improved.
