To
whom
it
May
concert,
My
name
is
Alexis
Johnson,
and
I
am
about
to
graduate
from
James
Madison
University
with
my
bachelors
of
Music
Education.
After
growing
up
and
student
teaching
in
this
county,
I
believe
that
my
education
as
well
as
experience
working
with
children
makes
me
qualified
for
a
position
here.
Based
on
my
own
education
and
experiences
I
believe
students
should
learn
how
to
perform
various
genres
of
music
with
different
groups.
They
should
be
able
to
notate
and
compose
music,
as
well
as
analyze
it.
Lastly,
they
should
be
able
to
discuss
the
history
behind
pieces
of
music
and
different
composers,
and
how
they
are
relevant
to
us.
In
my
classroom
students
will
learn
all
of
what
I
listed
above
and
more
through
the
music
literature
I
select,
as
well
as
activities
provided
for
students
to
explore
different
styles
of
music
and
different
aspects
of
the
subject.
Through
my
courses,
practicums,
and
professional
opportunities
I
have
gained
enough
experience
to
be
successful
in
this
position.
I
have
worked
with
various
groups
of
instrumentalists
from
beginners
to
college
level
players.
I
have
written
and
implemented
countless
lesson
plans
throughout
my
college
career,
and
I
have
learned
how
to
adapt
my
lesson
plans
to
meet
the
needs
of
diverse
learners.
I
would
like
to
thank
you
for
considering
me
for
this
opportunity.
If
you
have
any
questions,
please
feel
free
to
contact
me.
I
look
forward
to
hearing
from
you.
Sincerely,
Alexis
Johnson
