Tube Probe Selection Guide 2007-2008

MultiScan MS5800 tube inspection: internal probes

Welcome to the Tube Probe Selection Guide program!

This tool is intended to our distinguished customers and representatives to help them with their probe
selection process. This guide will propose standard probes only. If there is no probe proposed, your
specifications may require a custom probe design. Please contact us for feasibility and evaluation.
The information contained in this guide was revised closely in order to match the Tube Probe Catalog 2007-
2008.
We invite you to download this catalog at this http://www.olympusndt.com/en/probes/#r-
This guide is best viewed with screen resolution ofdtube
address: 1024 X 768. However, adjust the zoom for a quick screen fit.

We invite you to browse each page of this guide to help you select ECT, RFT, MFL and IRIS probes. The
pages can be selected by clicking on the different tabs at the bottom of your screen. Following is a short
presentation of each page:
ECT, RFT, MFL: This page will recommend the best suitable electromagnetic technology probe based on
your tube dimensions and material. It invites you to select among a wide range of probe models to
satisfy your needs.
ECT F90: This is a frequency calculation tool for calculating the optimal frequency (called "F90") based
on material properties such as resistivity, conductivity, and magnetic permeability.
IRIS: This page will recommend the right probe components to perform an IRIS inspection. However, an
IRIS system is not complete without accessories like a pump, filter unit, cables, etc. See Tube Probe
Catalog for more information.
Tools: This page will help you to find tube dimensions and convert units.
Anytime, please feel free to contact us for help about your application. We hope you enjoy this guide!
