I believe that I contribute to my school’s professional

community well in that we all get along so easily. We
can laugh together and have fun, but, at the same
time, sit down and have the hard conversations to
help our students be more successful. We respect
each other and our words and actions toward one
another reflect that. We communicate with each other
all the time and help each other out (beyond our
personal duties) whenever there is a need.
4/10/19

I believe that I help foster our school’s atmosphere of

resilience in that I (and all of my colleagues) try to
stay on the positive side despite what may be going
on in our lives. We don’t often let that break, but it
sometimes does happen because we are human, after
all. In times when that does happen, we’re great about
picking each other up, offering advice and support,
and helping that individual move on. Likewise,
whenever there is a setback or a hitch in the plans at
school, I’m quick to offer up my services as a
volunteer or assisting in the brainstorming of a new
solution. In terms of professional integrity, it goes
back to the idea of “if you say it, do it” and that’s
something that all my colleagues and I hold each
other to. Lastly, in terms of ethical conduct, we are
not afraid to speak up when we see a problem in
conduct because we know that we will be heard
respectfully, due to the great co-working atmosphere
we have created here. Likewise, with our students, we
hold them all to a high, standard that is the same for
everyone.
