with 700 dip extending from 800 to 1600 m deploying sub level caving
method with 65 m main level interval and 5 m thick sill and crown 5
pillars.
c. What are the provisions of Metaliferrous Mines regulations related to
dimensions of pillars and drivage in underground metal mines?
8. Discuss with a neat sketch development and extraction of a metal mine with 10
a size of 2.0 km along strike and 30 to 40 m width. Ore body is weak and
Host rock is strong. Give the layout of workings with proper justification of
selection of suitable mining method to produce 1000 tons/day assuming
geomining conditions of any typical Indian mine.
