My beloved country pakistan

Here, we are talking about a piece of land. Not just any land. This is a land that is pure.
Known for the purity, selflessness, courage and sacrifice of its people. Known for the
unmatched brimming potential of its youth, and the glorious stories of the sacrifices
during freedom-fighting and centuries of opression yet revolution told by its aged
seniors. This is pakistan; our beloved country.
Pakistan is a beautiful country. It is the land of the pure and the land of dreams, where
each day the sun rises to mark a new beginning. Founded back on the 14th of August
1947, it is 65 years old. When Pakistan first came into being, many people said it would
not survive. However, it is true that our forefathers faced several problems and had to
make many sacrifices, but today, as the 21st century progresses, Pakistan has surely
come over hurdles and made developments in many fields of life.
Here are some facts and figures about this beautiful stretch of alluring land that we call
home. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan emerged on the map of the world as an independent sovereign
state on 14th August 1947, as a result of the division of the former British India. The total population of
Pakistan is 130.6 million. The country is comprised of a vast area that was a great center of ancient
civilizations of the world. Its historical sites, beginning with stone-age to twentieth are a mirror of the life of
its peoples who are by nature simple, virile, hospitable and hard working. Ancient sites excavated in
Taxila, Harappa, and Mohenjodaro speak volumes about Pakistan’s rich cultural background, dating back
to 3000 B.C , with some sites such as Mehrgarh dating as far back as 8000 BC.

Economically speaking the country’s economy depends mainly on agriculture. In other words, if anyone
says that Agriculture is the backbone of the country no one should deny that fact. The land is full of
natural resources. The government is working its fill capacity to to utilizie maximum production of these
natural resources and utilize them for the better building of Pakistan’s economy.

Pakistan is a progressing country where the arts, culture and other forms of expression are fast taking
root in a globalizing world. Along with traditional forms of music, dance and art that have been around and
practiced for generations, Pakistan is an exciting place to see new inroads in the multi media.

with the reverse brain drain, Pakistan has become a place where Pakistanis (and others!) are making
space for themselves and their ideas. The ideas are a mix of the old and the new taking into account how
small the world has become and the role Pakistan must play in this socio-economic-political world.

Climatically, Pakistan enjoys a considerable measure of variety. North and north western high
mountainous ranges are extremely cold in winter while the summer months of April to September are very
pleasant. The plains of the Indus valley are extremely hot in summer with a cold and dry weather in
winter. The coastal strip in the South has a moderate climate. There is a general deficiency of rainfall. In
the plains annual average ranges from 16 centimeters in the northern parts of lower Indus plain to 120
centimeters in the Himalayan region. Rains are monsoonal in origin and fall late in summers. Due to the
rainfall and high diurnal range of temperature, humidity is comparatively low. Only the coastal strip has
high humidity.

Urdu is the national language and is used as a medium of understanding throughout the country. Aside
from this, Pakistan is culturally divided into four linguistic provinces. Punjabi is spoken in the Punjab,
Sindhi in Sindh, Pashto in NWFP, and Balochi in Balochistan.
To conclude, Pakistan is definitely a gift of God for the entire Muslim nation. It has four natural seasons
throughout it; a quality not common to more than half the countries in the world. It has a array of finite and
infinite natural resources. It is a natural beauty. It is the job of the government and the nationals to work
for the betterment of the country and its economy and hence make it one of the most prosperous
countries in the world.
