In this activity, my students are going to use

Magisto to create a personal video from the point

of view of a historic Virginian.

Activity D
After reading and watching videos about the selected historic Virginians,
the teacher will allow students to pick from a list of the following:
1) Maggie L. Walker
2) Harry F. Byrd Sr
3) Oliver W. Hill Sr
4) Arthur R. Ashe
5) A. Linwood Holton Jr.
6) L. Douglas Wilder.
The teacher will demonstrate how and where to find resourceful
information about a historic figure using the library database. Once the
students chose a Virginian, they will be allowed to use their notes,
textbook, and online resources to create of list of interesting facts and
relative information about their choice.
Next, the teacher will demonstrate to the students how to find and
download school appropriate pictures that represent aspects related to the
Virginian. The teacher will show a tutorial located on the Magisto webpage

on how to create a video.

Next, the students will create a Magisto video, from the view point of the
Virginian they chose. The students will need to provide pictures from
 approved county websites and text in order to show their understanding of
the historic Virginian.
Lastly, each student will present their video to the classroom. The students
will be graded on the accuracy of the information and the creativity of the
video.
