Reflection Essays:
There will be 1 reflection essay per semester on a topic of the student’s choice. The essay
SHOULD BE about something discussed in class but is not limited to that. As long as a
topic not discussed in class. The essays are 50 points each and should be 3 pages
minimum.
Final Exam:
The final exam will be a comprehensive exam of all of the units from first semester for
the 1st semester final, and all units from the units in the 2nd semester will be included in
the classes final exam.
Final Project:
The Final project will be in May; we will spend a majority of the class time working on
this project in May. The project will be for the student to choose a historical figure, place,
or event and essentially tell me everything they can about them. More information will be
provided for this when the end of the semester is near.
Extra credit:
There will be numerous extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Including the
ability to watch historical films, documentaries, and videos with an essay response. (25
points) Going to the World War 1 museum downtown and write a response about you
experience. (25 points) Writing all of the Presidents in order from Memory on the back of
any exam will also earn a student 10 points of extra credit.
Absences/ Tardiness:
The absence and tardy policy in my classroom will be in line with that of the districts.
