You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for

member of the European Union,
whose form of government is the
semi-presidential republic. Territorially
it includes the metropolitan France
and the France overseas, being at
the same time the biggest country of
the European Union. Its territory,
which includes regions of overseas or
dependent Territories, extends over a
total area of 675 417 km².1 In 2017
the country had 67.1 million
inhabitants (65 million in the
metropolitan departments and 2.1
million in the overseas departments)
Riad is divided into 15 municipalities,
plus the Diplomatic Quarter, while in
the northwest, on the outskirts, rest
the ruins of the ancient Saudi capital
DiriyahThe district of Olaya is the
commercial and residential center of
the city. It offers accommodation,
entertainment, restaurants and
shopping in general. The Kingdom
Center, Al Faisalyah and Al-Tahlya
Street are the most popular and
recognizable places in the area.
Mexico is the eleventh most populous
country in the world, with a population
estimated at more than 124 million
people in 2018.8, most of which have
Spanish as their mother tongue,
which the state recognizes as a
national language along with 67
languages indigenous people of the
nation.22 Around 287 languages are
spoken in the country, 23 due to the
characteristics of its population, it is
the most populous Spanish-speaking
country, 24 as well as the seventh
country with the greatest linguistic
diversity in the world.
