flexibility.
7.3.b Complete a self-assessment of health-related fitness and develop a

Content

activities inside and outside of school, roadblocks/barriers and solutions, mid-

year and end-of-year assessments, and reflection on progress for improving at
least three self-selected components of health-related fitness.

Pedagogy Planning

Activity The overall objective of this lesson is to introduce the students to the
FITT (frequency, intensity, time, and type) principle. The teacher will
provide a brief introduction to the lesson topic and login to
CLASSFLOW with the link provided below. Students will be
encouraged to use the SMART board when interaction with the
screen is available. The teacher should act as a facilitator for this
lesson. Student inclusion and discuss should be the driving force.
Students will be encouraged to share from learned experiences. Main
points of emphasis are how energy systems of the body can be
changed or manipulated with the adjustment of the FITT principle.
Students will gain and understanding of how the Frequency of
exercise ie: how often, the Intensity of the exercise ie: low, medium,
high, the Time spent doing exercise, and the Type of exercise ie:
cardio or weight training, effect the energy that we use in the body.
The teacher will finalize the lesson with a “Plickers” quiz that will be
provided to assess student comprehension.
