SYLLABUS
Course Description:
This course deals with the fundamentals of business organizations and management. The
theories and principles of organization and management, as well as their application in business and
industry are thoroughly discussed. The functions of management and the different types of organizational
structures with their strengths and weaknesses form part of the course coverage. The course covers the
benefits derived from entrepreneurship and importance of social responsibility as another goal of business.
Students are also given a chance to apply management principles and concepts to actual business
situation through case studies.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the semester, the students should be able to:
1. Affective
A. Learn to make wise decisions for the development of the community.
B. Appreciate the role of the different principles of business management in coming up with wise
decisions.
2. Cognitive
A. State and explain the principles of management and the environment in which business
organizations operate in.
B. Analyze the principles of management in business.
C. Understand the global environment and its effect in business.
D. Apply the basic principles learned in Management and Business Organization.

A. Participate in planning and organizing business organizations that would help the community
become self-reliant.
B. Respond to the needs of the people.
C. Draw an organizational chart showing the various management concepts.
D. Conduct a survey showing the diversity of management approaches to effect progressive
business operation.
