1. Installation

2. Log in
Game.ly Recorder supports two kinds of login methods, phone account
login or Facebook authorized login.

2.1 Phone account login


For the phone account, first you need sign up an account on Game.ly
client app which runs on Android/iOS. The client app can be downloaded from
Game.ly website, https://gamely.com .
Then you can enter your phone account and password on login screen as
below to log into Game.ly Recorder. Note that the phone account should be
prefixed with country code, e.g. +6281381003785 .

The phone account login supports remember-password and auto-login.


2.2 Facebook authorized login
You can open Facebook authorized login screen as below by clicking
‘Facebook’ button on login screen. Then complete Facebook authorization to
log into Game.ly Recorder.

3. Preparation for live broadcast


The main screen of Game.ly Recorder is shown as below.

Game.ly Recorder provides features to make live broadcast easy. It


includes,

3.1 Live stream scene


The live stream scene contains the content you broadcast to fans. On the
right pane of main screen, you can manage the scenes, such as create,
delete or switch scenes.
You can edit scenes to contain different content sources, then broadcast
different content to fans by switching the scene.

3.2 Content source


The live stream scene broadcasted to fans is consisted of several content
sources, so what you need to do is editing the content sources.
Kinds of content source can be added to current live stream scene.

• Camera source: content of your computer camera.


• Game source: content of game apps. It will fetch data directly from
Graphic Card Memory of computer, but may fail on some computers. If
so, you can try screen capture source to capture the game app
window.
• Screen capture source: content of screen windows. You can select one
screen window that has been opened.
• Multimedia source: content of multimedia files, such as .gif, .mp4.
• Text source: content of edited text. It also supports adjusting color, font
and opacity of the text.
• Picture source: content of picture files. It also supports adjusting
opacity of the picture.

On the right pane of main screen, you can manage the content sources.
Commonly used menu is ‘transformation’ which controls the display effect of
live broadcast pictures.
On the left live stream area, you can single click on one content source to
make it be editable, then edit the display position of it.
Commonly used operations are,
Move: drag and drop the content source to another place.
Zoom: press shift key then drag the round dot of content source.
Clip: press alt key then drag the round dot of content source.

3.3 Broadcast settings


Video setting includes video quality setting, video recording setting.

Audio setting is proposed to use the default setting.


Bullet msgs setting includes text size setting, text stay time setting, text
display position setting. Text display position will take effect after next restart.

4. Start live broadcast


4.1 Start

After setting up live stream scene, click ‘Start stream’ to start live
broadcast, or click ‘Start record’ to record a local video.
Before starting live broadcast, you can do some live settings, such as live
broadcast title, live broadcast game, video quality.

4.2 Audio and bullet msg

Click ‘Audio’ icon to adjust volume of the live broadcast.


Toggle ‘Bullet’ icon to display or hide bullet msgs.

4.3 Live data

Popularity: popularity of current live broadcast.


Kbps: current upload speed.
Frame Loss Rate: current frame loss rate.

4.4 Bubbling
Bubbling fish can collect corresponding number of bubble energy while
fans sending gifts to you during your live broadcast. After the bubble energy
accumulation reaches a certain level, you can click ‘Bubble’ button to release
all bubble energy to reward fans who offered energy.
