TITLE

JOB PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF

KURLON LIMITED
RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

The project aims at reviewing and considerate the business environment and

knowledge of the Industry as a whole and Kurlon Limited in particular. It is of utmost

importance to keep an eye on short as well as long term job performance of the

corporation.

Keeping in view the job performance, various business policies are framed,

communicated, implemented and observed in a company.

Performance of the business is affected by numerous factors, some of which may be

general to the industry and some may be specific to the organization. Job Performance

is defined as the process of measuring the performance and advancement of an

employee or a group of employees on a given job and his / their potential for future

development. It consists of all formal measures used in operational organizations and

potential of employees. According to Flippo, “Job Performance is the systematic,

periodic and an important rating of an employee’s excellence in matters pertaining to

his present job and his potential for a better job.”


OBJECTIVES

 It is the systematic examination of the strengths and weakness of an employee


in terms of his job.
 It is scientific and objective study. Formal procedures are used in the study.
 It is an ongoing and continuous process wherein the evaluations are arranged
periodically according to a definite plan.
 The main purpose of Job Performance is to secure information necessary for
making objective and correct decision an employee.
CONTRIBUTION
When the project report is prepared it includes all the aspects of projects like
company’s product and its market, manufacturing process, operational viability, its
financial projection and various ratios. This helps the management to understand
whether the project is practically possible or not. Ratio analysis gives the idea about
the profitability of the project.

Project report gives projected job performance report on the basis of review the
performance of the employees over a period of time to judge the gap between actual
and desired performance and to help the management in exercising organizational
control. It also helps to strengthen the relationship and communication between
superior and subordinates. To diagnose the strengths and weakness of the
personalities so as to identify the training and development needs in the future.
Provide feedback to the employees regarding their past performance, information to
assist in the other personal decisions in the organization, provide clarity of
expectations and responsibilities of the functions to be performed by employees. To
judge the effectiveness of the human resource functions, namely, recruitment,
selection, training and development. To reduce the grievances of the employees,
calibrate, refine and reward the performance of the employee and focus the progress
in performance of employees.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research is defined as a systematic, gathering recording and analysis of data about


problem relating to any particular field. It determines strength reliability and accuracy
of the project.

Research Design: Research Design pertains to the great research approach or strategy
adopted for a particular project. A research project has to be the conducted
scientifically making sure that the data is collected adequately and economically.

The study used a descriptive research design for the purpose of getting an insight
over the issue. It is to provide an accurate picture of some aspects of market
environment. Descriptive research is used when the objective is to provide a
systematic description that is as factual and accurate as possible.
