    1. Say true or False - The change in pressure with elevation in a static fluid is
    proportional to the specific weight of the fluid.

    2. Define center of pressure.

    3. Write the types of submerged surfaces.

    4. Define total pressure.


    Section B (1 x 6 =6 marks)
    1. A circular plate of diameter 3 m is immersed in water in such a way that its
    least and greatest depth from the free surface of water are 1 m and 3 m
    respectively.For the front side of the plate find(i) total force (ii) position of centre
    of pressure.
