Chapter 1 – HP LASERJET PRO CP1520 COLOR PRINTER SERIES

1.1. Operational Procedure

1.1.1. Switching ON

a) Press the power button. Ready button is lit and printer is ready to print.

1.1.2. Switching OFF

a) Press the power button. Ready button is unlit and printer is offline.

1.1.3. Transfer of Main and Standby

1.2. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

1.2.1. Daily

1.2.1.1. Materials Needed

a) HP Printer Daily Check List

b) Pen

1.2.1.2. Equipment/Tools Needed

1.2.1.3. PM Procedure

a) For remote and Local RCMS printer, check functions and operation conditions.
b) Perform visual check of HP Printer for possible alarm indication. Immediately
inform the CNSSO Shift Supervisor on duty.

1.2.1.4. Culmination

Record the PM activity and any unusual observation regarding the equipment on the
Daily Maintenance Log.

1.2.2. Weekly

1.2.2.1 Materials Needed

a) HP Printer Weekly PM Check Sheet

b) Pen
c) Feather duster

a) For remote and Local RCMS printer, check functions and operation conditions.
b) Perform visual check of HP Printer for possible alarm indication. Immediately
inform the CNSSO Shift Supervisor on duty.
c) Accomplish HP printer Weekly PM Check Sheet.

1.2.1.5. Culmination

Record the PM activity and any unusual observation regarding the equipment on the
Daily Maintenance Log.

1.2.3. Monthly

1.2.3.1 Materials Needed

a) HP Printer Monthly PM Check Sheet

b) Pen
c) Feather duster

1.2.3.2 Equipment/Tools Needed

N/A

1.2.3.3 PM Procedure

a) For remote and Local RCMS printer, check functions and operation conditions.
b) Perform visual check of HP Printer for possible alarm indication. Immediately
inform the CNSSO Shift Supervisor on duty.
c) Perform cleaning mode of the product.
1. At the product control panel, press the OK button.
2. Press the right arrow to highlight the Service Menu, and then press
OK button.
3. Press the right arrow to highlight the Cleaning Page option, and
then press OK button.
d) Accomplish the Monthly PM Check Sheet.

1.2.3.4 Culmination

Record the PM activity and any unusual observation regarding the equipment on the
Daily Maintenance Log.

1.2.4. Quarterly

1.3. Corrective Maintenance (CM)

1.3.1. Materials Needed

a) FOM/Star 2000 + RSM 970S Maintenance Facilities Technical Documentation (Book 7,

Vol. 1)

1.3.2. Equipment/Tools Needed

a) Replacement cartridge
b) Replacement memory DIMMS

1.3.3. Safety Precaution/Activity

a) Switch on the room lightings.

b) Upon entering the equipment room, check for abnormalities in the environment (such as
smell, wet floor, debris, sounds, temperature, etc.)
c) Wear personal protective equipment.

1.3.4. Corrective Maintenance Procedure

Refer to Star 2000 + RSM 970S Maintenance Facilities Technical Documentation (Book 7, Vol.
1, No. 5, pages 101 – 150)

1.3.5. Post Safety Precaution/Activity

a) Record all activities on Daily Maintenance Log and on the equipment ERC.
b) Make sure all switches are back to their original position prior to conduct of corrective
maintenance activity.
c) Before leaving the equipment room, check for abnormalities in the environment (such as
smell, wet floor, debris, sounds, temperature, etc.)

1.3.6. Culmination

a) Check and account all tools and materials used in the activity.
b) Switch off lightings.
c) Return all materials and tools used to their proper storage.
d) Prepare and submit outage report to supervisor on duty.
