This method helps you make longer English sentences by focusing on how the sentence actually relates to your own
personal experience(s).

“When I look at…I am reminded of…”

“…reminded/reminds me of how…”
“…makes me think of…”

EXAMPLE SENTENCE
"The little children are playing with their parents."

[LONG SENTENCE A] “When I look at the little children playing with their parents, I am reminded of how I used to play
with my parents as a child.”
[LONG SENTENCE B] “The little children are playing with their parents and it reminds me of how I use to run and play
with my parents many years ago.”
[LONG SENTENCE C] “The little children playing with their parents makes me think of all of the Sundays I use to play
with my parents outside as a child.”

2 METHOD TWO | ADD FACTS OR OBSERVATIONS

This method helps you make longer English sentences by focusing on expanding the specific details or information.

Use 3 extra adjectives

This method helps you make longer English sentences by focusing on the reasons behind the sentence or situation in
the sentence.

“Since…”
“In order to…”

EXAMPLE SENTENCE
"They are having a long discussion."

[LONG SENTENCE A] ““They are having a long discussion because they want to figure out what caused the problem
earlier.”
[LONG SENTENCE B] ““Since things didn’t go as they had planned, they are having a long discussion.”
[LONG SENTENCE C] “They are having a long discussion in order to figure out the schedule for their big event.”

4 METHOD FOUR | YOUR/OTHERS OPINION

This method helps you make longer English sentences by focusing on your opinion (or the opinion of others) on the
topic/subject matter.
