Chapter 3- Result
On the second actual teaching, the researcher distributes the task to the
students and allows them to do the reporting. On the other hand, reporting is
not just evaluating what have the students learned but it also boast their self-
confidence standing in front of their classmates.
The researcher conducts the oral recitation in order to assess the student’s
individual learning. Though oral recitation accurately evaluate the student’s
understanding, the researcher also observed that many of the students were
having a stage fright and had difficulties in expressing their opinions in front of
their classmates, which made them behave and prefer not to talk.
On the first observation, the students were listening to the teacher who
discussed in front. The researcher observed that the student’s active
participation and interest depends on the topic given. The teacher discussed
AIDS/HIV and the student’s active participation is undeniably evident.
3. The students are not as interested in oral recitation as it makes them feel
nervous and tense.
4. The student’s active participation depends on the subject matter and the
way how the teacher delivers the lesson.
Recommendations
1. That the result of this study be disseminated to the students and teachers
to make them aware of these activities that affect the student’s active
participation in the class discussion.
