Milestone of First-Generation Smart Substation
Development in China

2009.12    110kV  Mengzi-‐substa9on  ,    Shanghai

The  first  integrated,  new-‐type,  high-‐tech  model  substa9on
which  fulfilled  the  following  func9ons  smartly:  informa9on
collec9on,  communica9on  ,  and  processing.  This  success  is  a
start  point  for  widely  construc9on  and  refurbishment  of
smart  substa9ons.

2010.09  110kV  Beichuan  smart  substa9on,

Szechwan
The  technical  problems  of  tradi9onal  substa9on  that
secondary  signal  is  easily  disturbed  have  been  solved
totally,  which  laid  an  important  founda9on  for  the
rapid  development  of  smart  substa9ons
Milestone of First-Generation Smart Substation
Development in China
2011.03    750kV  Yan’an  smart  substa9on,  Shanxi
It  is  the  highest  voltage  level  smart  substa9on  in  the  world
at  that  9me.  This  marks  China’s  leadership  in  smart
substa9on  theory  research,  engineering  construc9on  and
opera9on  management.

2012.06    330kV  Xinsheng  smart  substa9on,    Shanxi

This  is  the  first  fully  self-‐made  smart  substa9on  in  China  .
