12. Temporary steel casing and/or slurry may be required during pier drilling operations.
Prior to the placement of concrete, any seepage water shall be removed from the pier
holes. Special construction procedures in accordance with ACI 336.1-01 and
specifications shall be followed during extraction of the casing and during concrete
placement. If the water infiltrates after casing is more than 1/4 inch per minute, the
