NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 30th June, 1998

C.S.R. 373(E).—ln exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 29 of the All-India Institute of

Medical Sciences Act, 1956 (25 of 1956), the All—India Institute of Medical Sciences, with the previous approval of the

Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the All—India Institute of Medical

Sciences Regulations, 195 8, namely :—

(1) These Regulations may be called the All—India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Regulations,
1993.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences Regulations, 195 3, in regulation 30, for sub-regulations (1) and (2),
the following sub-regulations shall be substituted, namely 5—

(1) The age of superannuation of the medical and scientific specialists including the members of teaching

faculty and employees of the Institute shall be 60 years:

Provided that this provision shall not apply in the case of a person who is on extension in service.

(2) The medical and scientific specialists may be granted extension in service, on a case to case basis, upto the
age of 62 years in the case of persons who are exceptionally talented for reasons to be recorded in writing
and subject to physical fitness and continued efficiency of the person concerned.
