LABOUR & WORKERS DIGNITY

REFORMS INITIATED
• Maximum ceiling of bonus to labourers increased from Rs. 3,500 pm to 7,000
Minimum wages of labourers of all categories increased by 42% in 5 years 
highest ever.
• Minimum pension for every labourer fixed at ` 1,000 per month
• Anganwadi & Asha Yojana  honorarium has been enhanced by about 50%

REFORMS ENVISAGED
• 'PRADHAN MANTRI SHRAM-YOGI MAANDHAN’  500 cr allocated 
- Mega Pension scheme for UNORGANIZED SECTOR
- Eligibility - for workers with monthly income upto ` 15,000
- Benefit - Assured monthly pension of ` 3,000 from the age of 60 years
- Contribution – Rs. 100 (joining at 29 yrs) ; Rs. 55 (joining at 18 yrs)
- Govt Contribution – Equal Matching Amount
