Project Summary
Part A: For this Mini-Q: “Why Islam Spread So Quickly?”, we are switching it up! For this unit, each group will
be assigned a single documents to become an “expert” on. You will work as a group to answer questions about
your document, and create a poster for your classmates to refer to. Once completed, the posters will be hung
around the room in various locations.
Step 1: Individually SQ4R your assigned document. Survey the text, read the
questions, and finally read and annotate the document.
Step 2: Together as a group you will collaborate to discuss and answer the “Who Is
My Source?” questions, and the questions attached to your document.
Step 3: As a table group, you must create a poster and write the answers to the
“Who Is My Source?” questions, and the questions attached to your document. See more
details and an example template below.
Part B: When the posters are completed, each group will be rearranged. I will assign new groups with an
“expert” in it for each document (A-F). With the help of each document expert, your new group will work to
read, annotate, and complete the remaining questions.
