Part II. Description of Best Practice


1. What is/are the issue/s of concern? Who is/are the targeted group/s? What was
the situation before the initiative began?
 Lack of interest of child to attend class regularly.
 Absenteeism and tardiness
 Small number of pupils’ population at school

The targeted groups: (upcoming)


 Kindergarten
 Grade I
 Out of school-children

Situation before:
They are walking 3 to 5 kilometers passing the mountains.
DROUGHT resulting in prolonged shortages in the water supply
2. How was the prioritization done based on issues and implementation?
 School personnel had set a date to visit their home and encourage their
parents to guide their children going to school together with some
stakeholders.

 The head of school initiated meeting with the teachers to open the
upcoming early registration in school. Issues and concerns were raised and
identified. Those concerns are the goals of the school in conducting the
early registration.
3. How were resources (financial, technical, human) utilized/mobilized for the
initiative?
 Announcement of the principal during the flag ceremony
 The School head andteachers initiated their human resources by helping
the said pupils to be in school, all of the also are recipient of feeding
program even some of them are not in the list of recipient. For this the
school reduce the number of absenteeism.
4. What was the process in implementing the initiative?
 The teachers were Plan, Organize, Monitor and Coordinate the
stakeholders..
5. What was the result of the initiative? How did it benefit the targeted group?
 The result was the school reduces the number of absenteeism; also
they are more attentive in school.

 Parents were enlightened to the performance of the pupils at school


 Teachers and parents relationship with each other determined as
higher

6. What is the participation of stakeholders for the sustainability of the initiative?


 The stakeholders’ (parents) encourage their children to go in school
and study well

 Teacher-Parent relationship built a higher degree.


7. Was the initiative replicated already? If so, to what level? If not, how can it be
replicated?

 Yes, 75% out of 100%

8. What will be your suggestions to others if your practice be transferred or scaled up


for remodeling?
 We suggest to make this initiative effective, call for PTA meeting and
explain them well to the parents to do their part because they are the
main part and backbone of their children education. Also maintain
the coordination with them not only for parents but also to the pupils
and all community linkages.
