UP PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

OPEN FOR APPLICATION
EFFECTIVE FIRST SEMESTER, AY 2018-2019

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Open to Undergraduate (except Freshman) in any Bachelor’s Degree: must have a general weighted
average of at least “1.75”.

2. Graduate Filipino students in any Graduate (Master’s and Ph.D. program); must have a general
weighted average of at least “1.75”.

BENEFITS: Free school fees except student fund

Undergraduate: Monthly stipend of P2,000.00;

Book allowance of P2,000.00/sem.
 Graduate: Monthly stipend of P2,500.00;
Book allowance of P3,000.00/sem.;
Thesis allowance- P5,000.00;
Dissertation allowance- P10,000.00

EFFECTIVE FIRST SEMESTER, AY 2018-2019

Slots open: Graduate – 1 slot, Undergraduate – 2 slots

Open to Filipino students who have potential for leadership as shown in membership in student councils,
organizations, debates, clubs, etc.; must have a general weighted of “2.75” for undergraduate and “1.75” for
graduate.

BENEFITS: Free school fees except student fund

Monthly stipend of P2,000.00 for undergraduate, P2,500.00 for Master’s;
Semestral book allowance of P2,000.00 for undergraduate and P3,000.00 for graduate;
Thesis allowance of P5,000.00 for Master’s

Slots open: Masters – 2 slots

Open to graduate foreign students from countries with which the Philippines has diplomatic relations with preference
to those from Africa and Third World countries in Asia and the Pacific. Must have a general weighted average of “1.75”;
must be nominated by their home government; with good moral character.

BENEFITS:
Full Scholarship: Free school fees except student fund; monthly stipend of P2,500.00;
Semestral book allowance of P3,000.00; thesis allowance of P5,000.00.

UP SYSTEM PRIVATE SCHOLARSHIPS

EFFECTIVE SECOND SEMESTER, AY 2017-2018

COMMONWEALTH FOODS, INC. SCHOLARSHIP

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be entering freshmen;
2. Must be financially deserving (TD 60%, 80%, FD)
3. Must belong to top 20% of graduating class;

Benefits: The grant consists of P20,000.00 per semester.

FILIPINO AMERICAN MILITARY MEDICAL OFFICERS SOCIETY (FAMMOS) SCHOLARSHIP - Systemwide

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. The Scholarship award shall be for any financially needy student (parent’s annual gross income must not
exceed P350,000.00) who can prove descent from any active or veteran members (deceased or alive) of the
Armed Forces of the Philippines;
2. Priority shall be given to descendants of enlisted personnel on a first-come-first-served basis and those
orphaned by one or both parents; otherwise, non-descendants shall be considered.
3. if an entering freshman, must have passed the UPCAT; if sophomore and above, must have obtained an
average of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or
unremoved “4.00” or “inc.” in the semester immediately preceding the application;
4. must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant.

BENEFITS: Interest earnings of the endowment fund (P25,000.00) per semester.
