ESTABLISHING AN ORGANIC VEGETABLE HANGING GARDEN

Objectives:
a) To establish an organic vegetable hanging garden;
b) To promote organic farming in the school premises of STCAST;
c) To acquire healthy eating;
d) To conduct competition for the BTVTED Department.

Persons Involved:

This platform would not be possible without any persons involved. These persons will
help the platform to accomplish and achieve. It may be the source of labor and finance; the
persons involved are the following:

Expected Outcomes:

The following were the expected outcomes of the platform:

 To earn and gain source of income by selling the vegetables;


 To utilize or to make use of the vegetables by doing feeding program
 By planting vegetables, healthy eating will prevail in STCAST;
 To conduct yearly competition in order to maintain and preserve the hanging vegetable
garden;
 To Compete with other state university, and colleges.

Benchmarking:

 All secondary public school establish ‘Gulayan sa Paaralan’


 Some colleges and state university are now practicing planting organic vegetables.

a. Time Frame

Establishing a hanging vegetable garden takes a lot of time and effort to build or
establish. The allotted time for the project is between 3 to 4 months. The first month of
establishing the hanging garden is planting the seedlings and hanging the container ready for
planting. Then, the remaining months is for taking good care and waiting for the good crops to
harvest.

b. Materials Needed

The materials needed in establishing a hanging garden are the following:

 Ropes
 Farming tools
 Organic Fertilizers

c. Expected Expenses

Finance is essential factor to establish a visible and purposeful project. The expected
expenses is P1,740.00 intended for the following:
