Ethics are moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an

activity. Justice is just behavior or treatment. Ethics and justice are related because they are both

things you should have in society. 10 rules to live by are rules you should follow in your daily

lives to balance our duty to ourselves and our own happiness with our duty to our family, friends,

and society at large and also rules you should live by to make yourself and others around you,

better. The Virtue framework is what guides my 10 rules.

First, Do No harm. This rule was choosen because According to the word ethics, it is

something moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity, and

doing no harm is a perfect example of a principal all human beings should live by because we

shouldn’t want to harm each other considering we all are human and shouldn’t be hurt be

eachother. The second rule, Be honest. This is an example of the virtue framework. It is

important that we all be honest considering alot could be avoided if we all tell the truth and

follow this rule. The 3rd rule, work hard. This could be an example of the duty framework also ,

considering it could be your job to work hard at whatever you do. This rule is important because

as humans we should all work hard since this is something that could potientially make us and

others, better. The fourth rule, Live with empathy. This is the ability of understanding others and
without understanding, society would be against eachother. This is important because society

needs to be together instead of being apart and this could help by us having empathy for

eachother. The fifth rule, Have a positive attitude. This is important because as a human we

should want to have a positive attitude because negativity just brings you down and it would be

going against our 10 rules to live by, considering they are rules you should follow in your daily

lives to balance our duty to ourselves and our own happiness with our duty to our family, friends,

and society at large and also rules you should live by to make yourself and others around you,

better. The sixth rule, think before you act upon something. This is important because we should

try our best to make right decisions and to not make wrong ones. The seventh rule, have respect

for others. This is important because if we don’t respect eachother, this could led into crime

amongst the society. The eighth rule, always help people do better. This is important because we

don’t want eachother as humans to fail because this will result in something much more violent

and violent is not apart of ethics. The ninth rule, be loyal. This is important because going back

to the fourth rule, we should have a clear understanding of people in out society and we should

know where they are coming from, so being loyal comes with the same thing, if we want loyalty

we should do the same in return. The tenth rule, be fair. This is important because as the virtue

framework, it means having a fundamental set of related virtues that enable a person to live and

act morally well and being fair follows this.

This list was developed from my understanding of the word “ethics”. I’ve formed these

rules overtime from understanding this word. I decided to revise because I felt as if my rules had

to be rules you should follow in your daily lives to balance our duty to ourselves and our own
happiness with our duty to our family, friends, and society at large and also rules you should live

by to make yourself and others around you, better. The new list of rules are rules that meet that

criteria, in my opinion.

In conclusion, I feel as if my life would be more positive if I lived by these rules and if

everyone lived by these rules it would be less violence going on and people would have way

more respect for eachother, enough for them to do no harm.
