2) The test for “385 N, Ammonia, Salic” was selected. 3) The sample was prepared: A square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 4) Blank preparation: A second square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of deionized water. 5) The contents of one Ammonia Salicylate Powder Pillow was added to each cell. The cell was closed with stopper and been shaken to dissolve. 6) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A three-minute reaction period was begun. 7) The contents of one Ammonia Cyanurate Reagent Powder Pillow was added to each cell when the timer was expired. The cell was closed with stopper and been shaken to dissolve. 8) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A 15-minute reaction period was begun. Green colour was developed when ammonia-nitrogen was presented. 9) The blank was inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right when the timer was expired. 10) “ZERO” was pressed and “0.00 mg/L NH3-N” was shown at the display. 11) The sample was wiped and inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right. 12) “READ” was pressed. The result was shown in unit “mg/L NH3-N” at the display.
Determination of Total Iron
1) At DR900, “STORED PROGRAMS” was pressed.
2) The test for “265 Iron, FerroVer” was selected. 3) The sample was prepared: A clean square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 4) The contents of one FerroVer Iron Reagent Powder Pillow was added to the sample. The cell was swirled to mix. An orange colour was formed when iron was presented. 5) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A three-minute reaction period was begun. 6) Blank preparation: A second square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 7) The blank was inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right when the timer was expired. “ZERO” was pressed and “0.00 mg/L Fe” was shown at the display. 8) The prepared sample was placed into the cell holder with the fill line facing right. “READ” was pressed. The result was shown in unit “mg/L Fe” at the display.
Determination of Reactive Phosphorus
1) At DR900, “STORED PROGRAMS” was pressed.
2) The test for “490 P React. PV” was selected. 3) A square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 4) The sample was prepared: The contents of one PhosVer 3 phosphate Powder Pillow was added to the cell. The cell was closed immediately and been shaken vigorously for 30 seconds. 5) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A two-minute reaction period was begun. 6) Blank preparation: A second square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 7) The blank was wiped and inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right when the timer was expired. “ZERO” was pressed and “0.00 mg/L PO43-” was shown at the display. 8) The prepared sample was wiped and inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right. “READ” was pressed. The result was shown in unit “mg/L PO43-” at the display. Determination of Copper
1) At DR900, “STORED PROGRAMS” was pressed.
2) The test for “135 Copper, Bicin” was selected. 3) The sample was prepared: A square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample. 4) The contents of one CuVer 1 Copper Reagent Powder Pillow was added to the sample cell (the prepared sample). The sample cell was swirled to mix. 5) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A two-minute reaction period was begun. 6) Blank preparation: A second square sample cell was filled with 10 ml of sample when the timer was expired. 7) The blank was inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right. “ZERO” was pressed and “0.00 mg/L Cu” was shown at the display. 8) The prepared sample was inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right within 30 minutes after the timer was expired. “READ” was pressed. The result was shown in unit “mg/L Cu” at the display.
Determination of Zinc
1) At DR900, “STORED PROGRAMS” was pressed.
2) The test for “780 Zinc” was selected. 3) A 25 ml graduated mixing cylinder was filled with 20 ml of sample. 4) The contents of one ZincoVer 5 Reagent Powder Pillow was added to the cylinder and was closed with stopper. The sample shall change to orange colour. The sample was diluted and the test was repeated if the sample was blue or brown which that the zinc concentration was high or interfering metal was presented. 5) The cylinder was inverted for several times to dissolve the powder completely. 6) Blank preparation: 10 ml of solution was poured into a square sample cell. 7) The sample was prepared: 0.5 ml of cyclohexanone was added to the remaining solution in the graduated cylinder by using a plastic dropper. 8) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A 30-second reaction period was begun. The cylinder was closed with stopper and the prepared sample was shaken vigorously during the reaction period. The sample was changed to reddish-orange, brown or blue colour depending on the zinc concentration. 9) The timer was started by pressing “TIMER>OK”. A three-minute reaction period was begun. 10) The prepared sample solution from the cylinder was poured into a second square sample cell. 11) The blank was wiped and inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right when the timer was expired. “ZERO” was pressed and “0.00 mg/L Zn” was shown at the display. 12) The prepared sample was wiped and inserted into the cell holder with the fill line facing right. “READ” was pressed. The result was shown in unit “mg/L Zn” at the display.
