Synopsis

The corruption challenge to good governance.

Scope of the study: The scope of the study for the research paper is to have a basic
comparative analysis on the meaning and the techniques and tools to fight against
corruption to lead towards good governance. Internationally, the world community has
been concerned about the growing phenomenon of corruption. With a view to launch a global
war against it, United Nations' Convention against Corruption, adopted by the General Assembly
on October 31, 2003, came into force on 14th December 2005 with the 30th ratification of the
Instrument. The Instrument, after its adoption in 2003, was open for signatures till December 9,
2005. India was perhaps one of the last member States to sign it, though ratification is yet to be
announced. This Convention deals with crucial aspects of corruption. It is a significant step
towards meeting the challenge of corruption. Let India not delay joining the global war.

Aims & Objectives: The aims and objectives of this research paper is firstly and
mainly to provide justice to the paper and the others are;

* To firstly, explain what the meaning is, development, techniques to fight against
corruptions

* Then to explain the meaning and techniques of ‘laying procedure’.

* And lastly, to give a comparative study of the same

Research Question: The research questions provided in the paper would be;

* will it provide justice to the citizens of India and what are the legal interventions?

Literature Review: I have referred to few books and cites altogether for the research
work.

A book on Administrative Law by I.P. Massey, I have been referring to for my paper
for the topic corruption the challenges to the good governance. I think the language of
the book was pretty easy and therefore made by understanding easy and also easier for
reference. It also has good case laws and explanation on the comparative study

Another book on Administrative Law by Dr. J. J. R. Upadhyay, it was also a good

book for reference. I used again for corruption the challenges to the good governance
The other book was the nature and concept of administrative law, by NARENDRA
KUMAR. This is the most preferential for me. It is very descriptive and enough notes
and case law
