Introduction
Wendell Berry once said, “The Earth is what we all have in common.”

Degradation of environment is one of the most serious challenges before

the mankind in today’s world. The number of problems arising out of
environmental degradation has been increasing and the intensity of
these problems has, at the same time, been aggravating. Land
contamination is a serious threat to our environment. Land cover change
takes place due to multiplicity of a number of natural as well as
anthropogenic factors. All of them together bring about a change in the
general environment of an area. Unplanned changes of land use and
land cover have become a major problem in many parts of the word.
Most of these changes occur without clear and logical planning, paying
no attention to their environmental impacts. Floods, deforestation, soil
erosion are consequences of mismanaged planning without considering
environmental impacts.

Objective

Participants are invited to come up with innovative solutions to

tackle problems like:
 Effects of land contamination on human health
 Development of a site with land contamination
 Effects of land contamination on agriculture
 Releasing of chemicals leading land contamination
These are few examples to give you an idea you can provide
an idea apart from above mentioned.

Eligibility

1. A team is allowed to have maximum four members.

2. All the team members should be from the same institution.
3. The idea should not, by any means, be or include copied or stolen
work; such applications will be disqualified immediately.

Event Structure
Round 1:-
Teams are required to submit one report to events@technex.in and to
one of the mail IDs of given contacts with the subject Pahal: Adhyayan:
Abstract: Team Id (For example Pahal: Adhyayan: Abstract: 1234).
Teams must follow the following details for submission:
1. The abstract must be submitted in PDF only
2. Font: Arial
3. Size: 11
4. Spacing between two lines: 6
5. Spacing between two paragraphs: 10
6. Bottom margin: 1 inch

Round 2:-

This will be the final round. Selected teams from round one will be
competing in this round and they will be presenting their ideas in front of
jury. The limit for pitching your idea is 5-7 minutes. Each Team
presentation will be scored accordingly and after compiling the final
scores we will declare the winner for Adhyayan 2K19.

Terms and Conditions for Participation

1. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding. All

participants have to abide by the decision of the judges. No interim
or later communication about the decision or its veracity shall be
entertained and shall be viewed seriously.
2. Violation of any rules will result in disqualification.
3. Technex holds all the right to change the dates for the submission
and the participants will be informed about the same by e-mail.
4. All mode of official communication will be through e-mail.
