EAT KANGAROO TO SAVE THE PLANET

Eating kangaroo burgers instead of beef could significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according
to an Australian scientist. The methane gas produced by sheep and cows through belching and flatulence is more
potent than carbon dioxide in the damage it can cause to the environment. Now Dr Wilson believes kangaroos
might solve the problem. Kangaroos produce virtually no methane because their digestive systems are different.
Instead methane, they produce acetate, a chemical that improves digestion and is inoffensive to the environment.
Sheep and cattle account for 11% of Australia's carbon emissions over the years. Removing seven million cattle
and 36 million sheep by 2020 and replacing them with 175 million kangaroos could reduce the greenhouse gases
effects by three per cent a year, because methane is about 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide molecule
for molecule. Everyone must help to save the planet, and change the eating habits may be an important step.

CLIMATE CRISIS
The Earth's environment is changing and the human beings are the primary cause. The way that we live
is hurting the ecological system. The factories that produces our television and computers, the cars, the planes,
all put chemicals – pollution into the air. We destroy the forests, the home of animals. There are several types of
pollution, generally are gases that are normally found in the air, and it comes from human activity. This is
changing the balance of the atmoshere and causing global warming. To save the planet is necessary
consciousness of human beings, who should stop to put polluting gases into the air and water.
