Creation of table, picture, clip art

Table
Aim :

To insert a table

Procedure:

• open ms word
• click Insert Table button

• move the cursor over the grid


until you highlight the number
of columns and rows you want.

Output:
Picture

Aim:

To insert picture

Procedure:
• open ms word
• Click insert Picture button

• Navigate to the location of the saved images


• Click on the image you want to use to select it

• Click the Open button chosen image is


inserted into your document

Output:
Clip art

Aim:

To insert clipart

Procedure:

• open ms word
• Click insert Clip Art button

• Type a search term that describes the image you want to


find in the Searchfield.
• Click Go buttoon

• Scroll down to view the returned image results


• Click on the chosen image The image is entered into
the document.

Header and footer, shape, chart, find and replace

Header and footer

Aim:
To insert header and footer

Procedure:

•open ms word
•click insert Click either the Header or Footer A drop-down menu will
appear

•select Blank to insert a blank header or footer, or choose one of the built-in
options.
•The Design tab will appear on the Ribbon header or footer will appear in
the document.

•Type the desired information into the header or footer


•click Close Header and Footer in the Design tab

Shapes

Aim:
To insert shapes

Procedure:

• open ms word
• click insert click shapes

• Click the shape you want click


anywhere in the workspace and
then drag to place the shape

AIM:
TO insert chart:

Procedure:
• open ms word
• click insert click chart

• Select the type of chart you want, such as column or pie chart
click OK.
• Enter your data into the spreadsheet that automatically opens
with the chart The chart will update to match the data after
you finish typing into one cell and move to the next.

Find and replace
Aim:
To find and replace text
Procedure:

• open ms word
• click Home tab choose Replace.

• In the Find what box enter the word or phrase you


want to locate.
• Replace with box enter your new text

• Choose Replace

Protection of documents in ms word
Aim:
To protect documents in ms word

Procedure:
•open ms word
•Click Review Protect Document.

•Under Security, you can select whether to enter a password to open the document
9modify the document, or both Enter each password again to confirm.

•Passwords are case-sensitive and can be a maximum of 15 characters long

•click ok
