I. Desired Learning Outcomes

Content Standard:

The learner demonstrates understanding and application of skills


related to theater.

Performance Standard:

The learner performs a musical play in relation to selected Philippine


Theatrical Forms.

Learning Competencies:

At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to:

1. identify the characteristics of selected theatrical forms;


2. narrate the origin and background of the selected theatrical
forms;
3. describe how music contributes to the performance of musical
production;
4. create and perform a short musical theater.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Famous Theatrical Forms in the Philippines


Time Frame: 1 hour
Reference: The 21st Century MAPEH in Action pages 58-61
Materials: laptop, LCD projector, cartolina, colored paper, envelope,
puzzle, folder, cut out theatrical symbols, box, speaker, pot hook.
