Digital Storybook Proposal STIV1013

Introduction: This digital storybook is storybook that we create story using digital method. This
storybook developed for education purpose especially to the children. Media may include
combination of text, images, video, audio or interactive elements like maps. In this proposal, we also
included our method to create an interactive storybook which is very suitable for children.

1.0 Title: The Tortoise and the hare. Story of a tortoise who, ridiculed by the hare for being slow,
challenges it to a race. The hare soon leaves the tortoise behind and, confident of winning, takes
a nap midway. Upon awakening, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has
arrived before him.

2.0 Purpose: To help the children to learn in attractive and fun way. It also helped them to learn
some moral value and improve their learning skills.

3.0 Audience: For 0-8 years old child. The target was child can learn moral value in this storybook.

4.0 Scope: This storybook consists of various elements suck as animation, graphic and image, text,
audio, quiz and navigation. The main point in this project is to make an interest storybook and
also children can find them interesting to read.

5.0 Content:

5.1 Storyline:

The story concerns a Hare who ridicules a slow-moving Tortoise. Tired of the Hare's arrogant
behavior, the Tortoise challenges him to a race. The hare soon leaves the tortoise behind
and, confident of winning, takes a nap midway through the race. When the Hare awakes
however, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has arrived before him.

5.2 Animation:

We use tweening which involve of class, motion, etc to make this digital storybook. We use
creative animation to move the pages. This story having the storyline and have some quiz to
attract children attention. The storybook was short and easy to understand by children. The
character of this storybook is colourful so it will easy to attract children attention. The
creativity of this animation will also make children enjoy this storybook.

5.3 Teks:

We use English in this storybook and it can help the children improve their vocabulary.
Language that we use were simple and easy to understand.

5.4 Navigation:

We create button bigger to make it easy to click and also have a tutorial to read the
storybook such as how to go to the main menu, previous and next scene. So the children
easy to understand. We tried to make the button use as simple as possible to avoid the
children feel burden
 5.5 Sound:

Use narrator sound to read text in the digital storybook. We use the sound of text app to
read the subtitle of the story in each scene. The narrator speaked in English but it is easy to
understand. We also use variety suitable sound to make a good story. The sound design will
be an essential part of the digital storybook experience, creating an immersive environment
and providing auditory feedback as the reader interacts with the app.

5.6 Quiz:

The quiz that we make is to test the kid ability. The quiz is in English but we are using simple
English so that children will easily to understand. Quiz will show up at the end of the
storybook and this quiz can test children understanding and their ability to remember what
they have seen.

5.7 Graphic:

Use a suitable graphic to attract the children to watch it. We have using many attractive
images, wallpaper, character, etc. Children can find a fun way in learning process. This digital
storybook also having colourful interface which attract kid attention and make them fell
good and entertained while they are using it to learn something new.

6.0 Significant project

The most importing thing in this project is to achieve our main goal which is to attract children
attention and learning in this storybook. We also want this digital storybook can help them more in
their learning process. Using digital storybook in their learning process will improve their
imagination and it can help them in their study.

7.0 Conclusion

In the conclusion, this digital storybook will allow children to understand this storybook in an
interactive way. The storybook is fun and creative, so that children will love this storybook. We hope
this storybook can help children in their learning process.
