Bow Spring Centralizers

Bow Spring Centralizer

The Coiled Tubing Bow Spring Centralizer
guides the coiled tubing or tool string directly
in the center of the well bore. It overcomes the
natural bend in the coiled tubing and prevents
hang ups when approaching restrictions. It
can be run in logging or wireline tool strings
or with any other completion or production
equipment.
Features
• Spring loaded bows set for optimum
contact force with casing or tubing
• Bore through centralizer for circulating flow
• Hardened bows for minimal wear
• Wide variety of thread sizes

Centralizer
The Hydraulic Bow Spring Centralizer
utilizes hydraulically expandable bow springs.
In a static condition, the bow springs remain
in the retracted state, flush with the tools O.D.
Circulating differential pressure across the tool
expands the bow springs to contact the side
wall of the well bore. Being hydraulically acti-
vated allows the tool to generate sufficient
force in deviated or horizontal well bores to lift
the tool string off the side wall, centering it in
the well bore. The tool is ideally suited to be
utilized as a stabilizer with a downhole motor.

to allow the operator to re-tag the end of the

Subs

Multi-Opening Circulating Sub

The Multi-Opening Circulating Sub has been
designed to cover many applications. The
MOCS tool does not require a drop ball for its
operation and can be cycled as many times
as required without pulling the BHA out of
the hole. It can save time and optimize perfor-
mance in well cleanout operations, allow for
selective placement of fluid treatment/gas
injection, and extend motor life by isolating the
PDM while circulating. The MOCS is designed
for use in applications with high back pres-
sure tools below it. Current sizes available
are 2.125" and 2.875" OD. Size options can
be discussed with a National Oilwell represen-
tative.

Pressure Release
Drop Ball Sub
The Pressure Release Drop Ball Sub
provides a mechanism for actuating downhole
tools in applications which do not permit the
conventional use of a drop ball. This allows
the tool to be used in conjunction with stiff
wireline reels (where the coiled tubing string
contains electric line which prevents the easy
passage of a drop ball) and below tools which
do not allow the passage of a drop ball. The
tool can be activated at will from the surface
following a controlled hydraulic sequence.
Pressure at which the disconnect cycle starts
is adjustable from 1,000 to 5,000 psi. Time
delay is adjustable to customer requirement.
Current size available is 2.250" OD, with 0.5"
thru bore. Size options can be discussed with
a National Oilwell representative.

Special short body for height limited installations

Threaded Coiled
Tubing Hangers
Our Threaded Coiled Tubing Hangers are
industry proven and feature a slip and element
design.
A standard rubber element combined with a
cone enable trouble free running and instal-
lation of steel or plastic coiled tubing under
live well conditions.
The hangers incorporate a failsafe element
lock down system utilizing a threaded ring.
A positive stop prevents coiled tubing string
weight from collapsing the coiled tubing.
Model 400
The element can be energized through the
hydraulic port or with the weight of the string
then locked in position with the top cap.

Coiled Tubing Hangers

Studded and Flanged

Coiled Tubing Hangers
All Coiled Tubing Hangers are designed to
be installed above the master valve, enabling
the installation of velocity and injection strings
on the wellhead.
• Rated at 2,000 to 10,000 psi working
pressures
• Bi-directional slips prevent the coiled tubing
from being hydraulically driven out of the
well
• Slips and pack-off element are secured
by hold down lag bolts
• Positive stop prevents the coiled tubing
string weight from collapsing the coiled
tubing
• Flanged or studded side-ports available

Studded and Flanged Hangers can accom-

Plugs & Darts

Landing Nipple
and Pump-Off Plug
The CT Landing Nipple can be attached to
the end of the coiled tubing with a Roll-on
Blowout Plug connection and allows the Retrievable Latch
Dart collet to catch and seal for the removal of
the coiled tubing string. The Landing Nipple
comes with a Pump-Off Plug installed which
after the string is landed can be removed with
air or nitrogen. Can be configured with Re-
Entry Guide Profile.

• Shear provisions options

The CT Pump-Off Plug is inserted into the

end of the Landing Nipple or the coiled tubing

Drop Dart
CT Plug Catcher
Plug Catcher The CT Plug Catcher is attached to the coiled
tubing string before running in. It is also used
for the secondary string on a dual comple-
tion. After landing the string the plug can be
removed with air or nitrogen. The blowout
plug lays inside the Catcher, not on top of the
packer.

Retrievable Latch Dart

The CT Retrievable Latch Dart is used be-

the well or for wellhead servicing. The
Retrievable Latch Dart is lubricated into the Landing Nipple

also be retrieved by wireline. When the Dart
is set, bleed off the tubing slowly to make
sure the Dart is sealed, then retrieve the coiled
tubing, or perform service work.

Mechanical Access Window

Model 4500 Mechanical Access Window
is designed to be installed onto a threaded
or flanged hanger. This creates a safe work-
ing condition because the injector head
remains fixed to the wellhead during hang-
off operations.

Hydraulic Access Window

Model 4600 CT Hydraulic Access Window
is designed to be installed above the BOP
or tubing hanger ensuring safe coiled tubing
hang-off procedures. The internal hydraulic
piston opens the window to expose the coiled
tubing. With the window open, the coiled
tubing slips or split element can be installed.
