Introduction to STOCK PREDICTION

Purpose:-
The S&P BSE SENSEX (S&P Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index), also called the BSE 30
or simply the SENSEX, is a free-float market-weighted stock market index of 30 well-
established and financially sound companies listed on Bombay Stock Exchange. The 30
component companies which are some of the largest and most actively traded stocks, are
representative of various industrial sectors of the Indian economy. Published since 1 January
1986, the S&P BSE SENSEX is regarded as the pulse of the domestic stock markets in India.
The base value of the S&P BSE SENSEX is taken as 100 on 1 April 1979 and its base year as
1978–79. On 25 July 2001 BSE launched DOLLEX-30, a dollar-linked version of S&P BSE
SENSEX.
1.2
Stock Market
Analysis of stocks using data mining will be useful for new investors to invest in stock market
based on the various factors considered by the software. Stock market includes daily activities
like sensex calculation, exchange of shares. The exchange provides an efficient and transparent
market for trading in equity, debt instruments and derivatives. Our software will be analyzing
sensex based on company’s stock value. The stock values of company depend on many factors,
some of them are:
1.Demand and Supply: Demand and Supply of shares of a company is a major reason price
change in stocks. When Demand Increase and Supply is less, price rises. and vice versa.
2> Corporate results: This will be regarding to the profits or progress of the company over a span
of time say 3 months.
3> Popularity: Main Strength in hands of share buyer. Popularity of a company can effect on
buyers. Like if any good news of a company, may result in rise of stock price. And a bad news
may break dreams.
FEASIBILITY STUDY

2.1. Technical Feasibility Analysis

The Stock Prediction (SA) is completely feasible and compatible with all the modern systems
which come with advance hardware components. It allows timely update of the SA which can be
easily configured. Further, the tools and language used to build the SA are completely
compatible with any system which fulfils with basic requirements of SA, both hardware and
software. It is easily transportable and comes with the user-friendly interface.

2.2. Economic Feasibility Analysis

The SA comes with the minimum limited cost of the building of software. Further, it requires
only fast internet services for updates and maintenance tasks. The language (Python) which is
being used is an open source language which allows free usage. SA are cost-effective software
which allows users to use it for unlimited time period.

2.3. Schedule Feasibility Analysis

SA cover a great amount time in laying out the groundwork for preparing all the components.
The first phase includes completion of the user-interface which will take around one month.
The second phase which focuses on the development of backhand of the SA (covering all the
technical aspect of the SA) which take up rest of the four months allotted for completion of the
project.
The project will reach its final stage within the allotted time frame and will ready to be
demonstrated.

2.4. Need and Significance

Today’s fast-changing IT world, even the best available tools is insufficient for the latest
vulnerabilities in various products, which makes the stock system unpredictable so it is needed.
Stock Prediction, usually found in a hardware-based offering, that learns from previous data sets
and records and starts learning from it and gives a certain predictable graph for the stocks.

In a typical network scenario, a firewall is usually capable of keeping the bad guys out. While
anti-virus (AV) software detects and stops most viruses, password protection systems take care
of access-control, etc.
