Technical background

Websites are trends nowadays because of devices that support internet connection. Every website has
many applications in terms of entertainment, information gathering, and research.

The process of visiting a website is to use a device which has a browser or an application that directs
users to the internet.

A website is composed of webpages which constitutes as its building blocks.

Websites are categorized into following purposes:

Personal website is used for personal purposes.

Organizational website is used by an organization.

Company website is used authorized persons only.

Social Media is used to keep in touch with people.

Government website is used by government to update citizens

Technicality of the project

After conducting an interview, the proponents and the officer interviewed came up with an idea to
boost accuracy and transparency between a teacher to his/her students. The issues it will solve are the
current issues experienced in the school environment of Dao Catholic High School.

The proposed project entitled Student Information System of DCHS aims to use the benefits provided by
a website to aid students and teachers. It will be used as a means of tracking the performance of each
student, their grades attendance quizzes and it will also show payment of their subjects.

The website will be accessed by teachers and students through a device that has an internet browser
the teachers will have a separate log in to the students. And students will also use their student number
and a password.

The teachers will update grades in quizzes and their students’ attendance timely. These updates will be
posted on a webpage in the website. This will make happen by using Php as the database. The students
can view their personal grades on their accounts privately. It is done by using the database.
Hardware

The website will run on a computer connected to the internet. The computer must have at least 2GB
RAM and extra 500MB memory space.

Software

In software requirement, the computer needs a version window 7, 8, and 10 and web development
tools include XAMPP, MySQL and browser to view the system.

People ware

The user must be the teacher and students in the school. Each student will create account to access
their information on the computer and the teacher can only update the performance and grades.
