Assumptions

1 Assumes 24 drives per server

2 Max memory per server : 1.02 TB

3 CPU Clock speed of 2.3 GHz

4 VM distribution per server is shown approximate to account for asymmetric VM distribution scenarios

5 For standalone VDI use cases, the Sizer considers socket based and user based licensing at
list price and recommends the more cost-effective license of the two scenarios. Refer the vSAN
Licensing guide for more information.

6 The Sizer does not consider mixed workload environments for VDI where there are applications
which support VDI workloads for licensing recommendations.

7 vSAN Advanced for Desktop Licenses are already bundled in Horizon Advanced and Enterprise licenses.
If you are buying Horizon Standard Licenses, then you will have to purchase standalone vSAN
for Desktop licenses to deploy VDI on vSAN. If you already have Horizon STD licenses, you can
also buy upgrades to Horizon ADV/ENT and will acquire vSAN Advanced for Desktop licenses.

8 For VDI use cases, if you are planning to use Kiosk Mode, we highly recommend that you turn
on Dedup otherwise your total consumption will be high
