What is the Sodexo Meal Pass?
The Sodexo Meal Pass is a fully digital meal benefit solution. This card comes with a 5-year validity and is accepted at Sodexo-
affiliated merchant outlets for the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages only.

How much amount will be loaded on the Sodexo Meal Pass?


The Sodexo Meal Pass will be loaded with an amount of ₹ 1,100/- or ₹ 2,200/- every month, depending upon your
employment type.

How much taxes will I be able to save using Sodexo Meal Pass?
With Sodexo Meal Card, you can save up to ₹ 8,000/- in taxes every year.

Do I need to declare the tax benefit while submitting declaration?


Tax benefits through Sodexo Meal Card will be directly passed on to you by your employer, as part of your salary. No separate
declaration is required from your end.

Is this tax exemption over and above the limit of 80C??


Yes, this exemption is over and above the limit of 80C (which is ₹ 1,50,000/-). Please note this exemption comes under Sec 17,
Rule 3 and has no connection to 80C

Should I allocate money in kitty to get this benefit?


No, you need not allocate money in kitty, this would get deducted from your flat directly.

Is the complete amount that I claim tax free?


Yes, depending on your eligibility complete amount that you use towards Sodexo is tax free.

Where should I check for my contribution details?


You may check for your contribution details in kitty sheet on HRMS portal.

Where will my exemption reflect on pay slip?


Please note this exemption details will not reflect on pay slip as the contribution is done through off-cycle payment. Form 16
generated at the end of financial year will reflect this exemption details and kitty sheet will reflect your contribution details.

When will I receive my Sodexo Meal Pass?


i. If you have opted for a direct dispatch your card will be couriered to your declared address.
ii. If you have opted to hand deliver the card at your respective (declared in opt-in portal) premise, then you will be
receiving the card through a distribution activity in the last week of the month.
Can I use my card as soon as I receive it?
The card is dispatched in an inactive mode for security reasons. You will need to activate your Sodexo Meal Pass to enable
usage.

How do I activate my Sodexo Meal Pass?


The Sodexo Meal Pass is dispatched in an inactive mode for security reasons. The card must be activated before usage which
can be done by following some simple instructions mentioned in the welcome kit that you will receive along with the card.
Activate your card online by visiting the card activation portal https://activation.sodexobrs.com

• Enter your official registered mobile number


• Enter the 12-dgit card reference number (mentioned on the Welcome Letter)
• Click on ‘Get Activation Code’
• Provide Officially Valid Document details to complete KYC
• Enter activation code (received on email/ SMS)
• Complete OTP-based mobile number verification
• Click on ‘Activate Card
Please note: Officially Valid Documents include Passport, Driving License and Voter ID

Which mobile app do I need to download?


Once you have activated your card, you need to download the ZETA mobile app. You need to register on the app using the mobile
number that you had provided on the card activation portal at the time of card activation. You can then update/ register your
alternate mobile number or email ID by updating your profile.

How can I link my Sodexo Meal Pass to the Zeta mobile app? What are the benefits of using the Zeta mobile app?
The Sodexo Meal Pass integrates with Zeta’s digital platform to offer several benefits for employees. Downloading the Zeta app
on your smartphone has the following benefits:

● Multiple ways to pay: Use your Sodexo Meal Pass at online and offline food stores and pay using:
○ QR code - Just scan the QR code at the merchant outlet and punch the amount
○ Shop ID - Enter the merchant’s Shop ID and pay
○ Zeta code - Click on “Zeta Code”, generate an OTP by tapping on the screen, share the OTP with the vendor to
pay and you’re done!
● SuperPIN - It’s alright to forget your static PIN because you have the SuperPIN to your rescue. The SuperPIN is a
dynamic PIN that is generated every two minutes on your app
● Integrated food apps - Buy food directly via the integrated food ordering apps
● Merchant outlets - Access the Sodexo Merchant Directory on the app
● Exclusive offers and discounts - Avail exclusive offers and discounts
● Block and unblock card - Cards can be blocked or unblocked as per your needs
● Track spends - Real-time in-app notifications on spends and credits
● Access transaction history - Access transaction history on-the-go

Is my card secured by a transaction PIN?


Yes, the Sodexo Meal Pass is a PIN-based card. You will receive your static PIN as part of the card welcome kit. You can also
generate a SuperPIN on your own using the Zeta app. This SuperPIN is dynamic and generates every two minutes.
Do I need to memorise this PIN?
Yes, you will need to memorise your PIN if you have not downloaded the Zeta app. If you have downloaded the Zeta
app, you can simply use the SuperPIN feature.

Will I receive SMS alerts for my purchase and load transactions?


Yes, you will receive SMS alerts from Sodexo for your purchase and load transactions. You can update your mobile number on
the Zeta app. Please update the same to help us serve you better.

What can I purchase using my Sodexo Meal Pass?


The Sodexo Meal Pass can be used to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages at Sodexo-affiliated merchant outlets.

Can I use my Sodexo Meal Pass for online purchases?


Your Sodexo Meal Pass can be used for online payments for the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages. Currently, this
has been enabled at selected popular online food merchants.

Where can I get a list of outlets that accept the Sodexo Meal Pass?
There are two ways to find the merchant directory:
 Download the Zeta mobile app and click on the ‘Merchant List’ option to view the list of Sodexo Merchant outlets
 Find the Sodexo Merchant Web directory on https://outlets.sodexobenefitsindia.com/

Can I withdraw cash using my Sodexo Meal Pass?


No, as per law, the Sodexo Meal Pass can only be used to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages at Sodexo-affiliated
merchant outlets.

What are the different methods to pay using the Zeta app?
The different methods to pay using the Zeta app are as mentioned below:
a) Zeta Code - Click on “Zeta Code”, generate an OTP by tapping on the screen, share the OTP with the vendor to pay and
you’re done! Get the receipt for your purchase instantly.
b) QR code - Just scan the QR code at the merchant outlet and punch the amount to pay in less than 3 seconds
c) Shop ID - Enter the merchant’s Shop ID and pay the amount
Please note that the above-mentioned payment methods can only be used at merchant outlets that have been enabled to
accept such payments and will not be available at all Sodexo-affiliated merchant outlets.

What is KYC registration?


Know your customer ('KYC') is the process of a business (Sodexo) identifying and verifying its consumers (Sodexo Card Users).
KYC guidelines are issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As per the RBI Master Direction, it is mandatory for all prepaid
instrument issuers to complete their KYC. Currently Sodexo captures KYC information at the time of card activation itself.

Are there any limits to the amount that can be loaded on the Sodexo Meal Pass?
RBI guidelines specify capturing and validating consumer information for certain value issued on prepaid cards. At the time of
activating the card Sodexo obtains KYC details - minimum details (mandatory) and complete KYC (optional) of the consumer.
If user provided minimum details the following rules apply:
a) Balance on Card (at any point) should be ≤ ₹ 10,000*
b) Cumulative credits per month should be ≤ ₹ 10,000*
c) Cumulative of debits per month ≤ ₹ 10,000*
d) Cumulative load per FY ≤ ₹ 1,00,000*
Within 12 months from the date of card issuance, the user will need to complete KYC, if not, no further credit allowed on the
card. Once the user completes KYC the card can be loaded with a value of up to ₹1,00,000*
*Note: These limits are prescribed by RBI and are subject to changes as and when mandated by RBI.

How do I change the card PIN?


You can change the card PIN via the Zeta app available on your smartphone or desktop.

What do I do if I forget the card PIN?


You can generate a new card PIN using the Zeta app on your smartphone or desktop or by simply using the dynamic SuperPIN to
make transactions.

How do I check the balance on my Sodexo Meal Pass?


Every time you make a purchase, you will receive an email/SMS notification stating the updated card balance. You can also view
card balance on the Zeta app on your smartphone or desktop.

How do I ensure the safety of my Sodexo Meal Pass?


If you’re using the Zeta app to make payments, you can rest assured that your meal card can never be misused. With the
SecureShield feature in our app, we’ve brought security into your hands. The SecureShield comprises of:

● SuperPIN - A dynamic PIN that’s valid for one transaction only


● Swipe2Pay - With Swipe2Pay, all you need to do is swipe on the secure dialog that is presented by Zeta on your phone
to complete your online transactions. It is perfectly safe, fast and convenient.
To ensure that the card is not misused, do not share the PIN and do not store the Card PIN and the card together. If you have
lost your card, please block your card at the earliest to avoid misuse of the card. You can block and unblock your card through
the Zeta mobile app.

What should I do if my Sodexo Meal Pass is lost or stolen?


On loss of the card, you can easily block your card using the Zeta app in just a click. Open your Zeta app, go to ‘Settings’, click on
your ‘Sodexo Meal Pass’ and turn on the ‘Block temporarily’ button to prevent transactions on your card.
You can also reach out to Sodexo Customer Service team. The lost card will be blocked and the available amount would be
issued to the cardholder in a replacement card only after the cardholder requests for a replacement card. You can raise a
request for the replacement card by logging in on desktop interface.

Can Sodexo add an outlet of my choice in its network?


Kindly share the details of your favorite outlets at https://outlets.sodexobenefitsindia.com/suggest-an-outlet.Sodexo will try to
affiliate outlet of your choice in the network.

Can I use my Sodexo Card while on International assignment?


Employees are encouraged to de-enroll themselves for the time the said employee is outside India on an assignment. The action
should be taken by the employee before the start of the assignment. Employee can enroll themselves back into the program once
back in India after the assignment ends.

If you do not take above action before proceeding on assignment:


 In case of salary processed in India – we will continue to deduct the chosen amount (₹ 1100/ ₹ 2200) and load the card
 In case of salary NOT processed in India – Deduction will cease to continue
Can I opt out from this benefit?

Once enrolled to the program, you can exit at any point in time during the same financial year (April-March) and can rejoin in
the same financial year as well.
In case you decide to exit the program, you are required to login to Sodexo Portal before 15th of the month and opt out of the
program. The unused balance in the meal card will remain for your usage till exhausted. Once you rejoin- the same card will
continue further for you to avail the benefits.

What happens to my benefit when I exit the organization?

In case of separation from IBM, you will automatically exit the program. The Meal Card will be terminated from your last date of
employment. The unused balance in the meal card will form part of your taxable salary
