COMMENTS RELATED TO SUBMISSION

- ToC and page numbers are missing.

- The introduction is way too broad and generic, there is no support from the literature and it reads
more like a novel. You should have elaborated more (using relevant supportive material) on the
need for global sourcing and the links for example to the automotive sector.
- The literature review does address specific concepts and articles but it lacks currency. No articles
after 2008…!
- The section Theory application should rather read (empirical part).
- The empirical part in neither detailed nor supported by material/literature. Where did you get all
this information from? How did you analyse it?
- An overview of Toyota’s SC is missing.
- How is Toyota’s case unique/different to the other car manufacturers. Why did you go for Toyota
in the first place?
- No use of tables/figures.
- Disconnected to the literature review.
- A rather general set of conclusions.
- Reference section quite consistent and well structured but missing references/citations (e.g.
Nager, A. B., & Atkinson, R. D. 2015).
