A.Root Of The Problem

LGBT is "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender". It is a term that is used or to

replace the mention of the people group mentioned above. The lesbian is where a
woman does sexual perversions by liking other women. So is the gay where men like
other men, while bisexuals are men or women who can like the opposite sex or
gender. And transgender is where a person makes a sex change from woman to man or
vice versa by surgery.

LGBT is a very worrying case, that is sexual deviation done by some parties, but
maybe that party prefer to call society or itself as LGBT. Actually the term LGBT has
been used since a long time, which is around the 1990s to replace the term gay
community combined.

The existence of LGBT itself has existed since the time of the prophet first.
However, not everyone agrees with the term. Some of them assume that transgender
and transcendental have nothing in common with gay, bisexual, or lesbian. The
cornerstone of the statement is the notion that transgender and transsexuals have links
to gender identities that are independent of sexual orientation.

There are several factors that cause LGBT, including:

1. Family Factor

The education provided by parents to their children has an important role for
children to be more LGBT members than to be normal like everyone else.

When a child experiences harsh treatment or other ill-treatment, it can ultimately

lead to fractures in family relationships and children's hatred of their parents. For
example, when a girl gets harsh or other abuse from her father or another brother, the
consequence of the trauma is that the girl may have a hateful nature or attitude
towards all men.

Because the attitude of parents who are too eager to have a boy or girl, but actually
just the opposite. Conditions like this can make children will tend to act like what is
desired by their parents. Parents who are too restrained children can also plunge
children into the wrong choices of life. Lack of education about religion and sexual
issues from elderly parents to their children. Parents often assume that talking about
sexual problems with their children is taboo, but it can educate children to know the
true subject of sex

2. Environmental and social factors

Environmental and habits of a person in associating allegedly has become the most
dominant factor causing one's decision to become part of the LGBT community. some
points related to this factor are :

A child who in the family environment less get affection, attention, and education
both religious, sexual, and other education since early can fall into the unnecessary
societies. At the time the child is getting cool in the association, then he will assume
that friends who are nearby can better understand, love, and give more attention to
him. And without realizing it, the friend just brought him into a life that is not true,
such as drugs, alcohol, free sex behavior, and sex behavior that deviates (LGBT).

The entry of cultures from abroad inevitably has been able to change the mindset of
most of our society and in the end there was a shift in moral norms embraced by some
people. for example are sex behaviors that deviate like free sex or sex with same sex
or better known by the term LGBT.

3. Genetic factors

From some research results have shown that one of the factors driving the
occurrence of homosexual, lesbian, or other deviant sexual behavior can come from
within the body of the perpetrator whose nature can be decreased from previous
family members. there are some things you need to know about this issue, such as:

In the world of health, in general a normal male has an XY chromosome in his

body, whereas a normal female chromosome is XX. However, in some cases it is
found that a man may have a type of XXY chromosome, which means that the man
has an excess of one chromosome. As a result, the man could have behaved that was
somewhat similar to the female behavior.
 The presence of the hormone testosterone in the human body has a big share of
LGBT behavior. A person with low testosterone levels in his body may, in turn, have
an effect on the behavioral changes, such as male behavior being similar to a woman's
behavior.

4. Moral and moral factors

Moral factors and morals owned by a person also has a great influence on LGBT
behavior that is considered deviant. There are several things that can affect the moral
change and morality that humans have in the end will plunge the human to the deviant
behavior such as LGBT, namely :

Weak and fragile faith. When a person has a weak and fragile faith, it is likely that
the condition will make him weak in terms of controlling the lust. We know that faith
is the most effective bulwark in a person to avoid the occurrence of deviant sexual
behavior. So with the weakness of faith, then the power of a person to be able to
control his lust will be smaller, and that later can plunge the person into deviant
behavior, one of them in terms of sex.

More sexual arousal. Many examples that we can take as a trigger sexual
stimulation. For example the increasing popularity of pornographic VCDs,
pornographic magazines, or other videos that we can access via the internet.

5. Educational factors and knowledge about religion

Other internal factors that cause the occurrence of sex behavior deviant as the
emergence of LGBT is the knowledge and understanding of a person about religion is
still very minimal. The above is said that religion or faith is the most effective bastion
in controlling the passions and can educate us to be able to distinguish what is good
and what is not good. For that, it is necessary to instill knowledge and understanding
of religion against children from an early age to form their intellec, morality, and
personality
B. Impact To Health and Soul

 Health Facility

The emergence of the LGBT phenomenon will inevitably have an impact on the
health of the self-perpetrator, where the behavior can lead to various types of
dangerous infectious diseases, such as:

1. HIV / AIDS

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) or also known as AIDS is one of the most
dangerous infectious diseases for humans, where the consequences of this infection
can carry the human on death. HIV virus works by attacking the human immune
system, so the body can no longer fight against the occurrence of infection or other
disease attacks.

In Indonesia, cases of HIV virus spread since it was first discovered in 1987 in Bali
until December 2013 has been recorded about 368 areas have become the spreading of
the virus. And one of the media spread of this dangerous virus is through sex. So when
someone who has not contracted the HIV virus and then he has sex with people who
have HIV without using protective equipment such as condoms, then the transmission
of HIV virus is likely to occur.

2. Genital diseases

The emergence of various types of sexually transmitted diseases caused either by

bacteria or viruses is one of the bad effects of LGBT habits. here are some types of
diseases:

Syphilis (lion king), a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterial infection

of the treponema pallidum. If left untreated, the disease can cause paralysis, dementia,
blindness, hearing problems, impotence, until death.

Gonore (gonorrhea), a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterial infection

of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The impact of this disease can be felt by some areas in our
body such as the rectum, eyes, or throat.
 Chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterial infection of
Chlamydia trachomatis. Although in some cases the patient does not experience any
symptoms, but this disease can also affect the body organs such as eyes, rectum, and
throat.

Genital warts, sexually transmitted diseases caused by HPV (human

papillomavirus) infection that causes warts to occur around the genitals or rectal areas.
Those infected with the HPV virus could potentially be exposed to dangerous diseases
such as cervical cancer, penile cancer, and rectal cancer.

Genital Herpes, a type of venereal disease caused by herpes simplex virus infection
(HSV) that causes reddish blistering lesions accompanied by the onset of pain in the
genital area.

3. Interfere with reproduction

LGBT behavior can also result in the reproduction of the offender. Those who are
fond of deviant sexual activity may experience peranakan (reproductive) disorders.
For homosexuals, this condition can cause major sources of semen expenditure to
become weaker. In addition, this condition will cause disruption to the production of
sperm produced on the testes, where sperm can be killed and eventually will cause
infertility.

 Psychological aspect

LGBT habits also adversely affect the psychological or psychological condition of

a person and can have a powerful effect on the nerve of the perpetrator. A person who
is categorized as LGBT can have the belief that he is not a man or a real woman.
These conditions will certainly have an impact on the emergence of a sense of self-
identity and sexuality. They will be more likely to choose along with people with
similar personalities. The habit will affect the reason of the perpetrator, and eventually
he will become a moody. Those who have deviant sex habits like homosexuals will
always feel dissatisfied with the impulse of his passions.

According to Rosario et al, "The development of LGBT sexual identity is a

complex and often complex process. Unlike other minority members (such as
ethnicity and racial minorities), most LGBT individuals are not raised in a community
with them, from which they must learn about their identity, and who can strengthen
and support their identity. Even LGBT individuals are usually raised in a community
that does not care or even be rude to homosexuality "

According to psychiatrist Fidiansyah, LGBT including mental disorders. Because

it is one part of a mental disorder, this disease can also be transmitted to others.
Fidiansyah denied the opinion of some people who argued that, LGBT is not a
disease.

Psychologist Tika Bisono says LGBT behavior can be cured with psychological
therapy for those affected by environmental and hormonal therapy in hospitals for
those exposed to hormonal factors. Tika says LGBT behavior is more likely to occur
due to faulty associations and habits than hormonal problems.

C. Religion Teaching

Allah Almighty has explained in the Qur'an clearly the harsh threat to the
perpetrators. The explanation is contained in Al-qur'an and Hadith as follows:

1.Surah in AL-QUR'AN

• QS. Al-Ankabut verses 31-32

Surah Al-Ankabut verse 31

Meaning: And when Our messenger (angels) came to Ibrahim with good tidings
they said, “Truly, we will destroy the inhabitants of this city (Sodom) because the
inhabitants are indeed unjust people.”
Surat Al-Ankabut verses 32
Meaning : brahim said, “Verily in that city is Lut”. They (the angels) say, “We know
better who is in the city, we will save him and his followers except his wife, He is
among those who are left behind (destroyed)”.

• QS. Hud verse 82 – 83

Surah Hud verses 82

 Meaning : “And when Our Lord came We made the land of the Luthites up and
down (We reversed), and We bailed them with stones from the burning ground with
insistence”
Surah Hud verses 83
Meaning : “Signed by your Lord, and the torment is not far from those who are
dhimmim”.

• QS. Asy syu'ara verses 165 - 166

Surah Asy syu’ara verses 165

Meaning : “Why do you come to this type of man among men ”

Surah Asy syu’ara verses 166

Meaning : “And ye abandon the wives which your Lord has made for you, ye are even
transgressors”

2. Hadith of the Prophet

Rasulullah SAW betdabda: "The thing I fear the most for you is the actions of the
people of Lut and cursed by those who do as they do, the Prophet repeating them three
times, Allah cursed those who do like the deeds of the Lut, Allah cursed those who do
like the actions of the people Lut, Allah cursed those who do like the deeds of the Lut,
"(Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi, and Al-Hakim)

From the above explanation, it is very clear that Islam is very hard in addressing
LGBT problems. In the Qur'an we have been given signs or have been told of the
dangers of LGBT. Before LGBT existed during the time of the prophet LUTH has
occurred like this. And the punishment of Allah swt is very painful and terrible (Allah
swt cursed for people who do deeds like the prophets lut).

Even it is explained that at that time, Allah punished the prophets of lut who did
such acts of LGBT with the heavy rain of stones, and the stone was made of burnt
earth.
 In fact, LGBT is a deviant act of true human nature. In other words, LGBT law
in Islam is haram.

The most important thing now is that we must be able to keep ourselves from
the actions - deviant acts. And each other remind each other, because we as fellow
Muslims are obliged to remind each other that we all avoid the torment of hell fire.

However, we as fellow human beings should not discriminate against someone

who has fallen into the LGBT's deeds. But try to get them back on the right path

D. Conclusion

LGBT is an abbreviation of a community that has a sexual disorder. LGBT is

caused by several factors that are the core of these factors are family and social
environment. Where if a child gets unfavorable treatment from his family or he comes
from the discharge of both his parents have divorced it will facilitate the child affected
LGBT, and in addition to the environment of less good relationships and lack of
religious knowledge. In addition, it turns out genetic factors such as chromosomal
abnormalities and abnormal hormones also affect a person to LGBT.

In view of Islam LGBT is very forbidden because it is very deviant from human
nature. In religion it is clear that LGBT is forbidden because it will be bad for
ourselves. In terms of health, LGBT can cause various diseases such as HIV and other
harmful sexes. While in psychological terms, LGBT is very influential in terms of
mental health of someone who did it. Because someone who is LGBT feel unsure that
he is a woman or a man, so because of the confusion it affects his sexuality. The
LGBT person, he is never satisfied in the impulse of his passions
