TF Adaptive Impacting
Dental Practices 1 Year Later

SybronEndo.com
The world of dentistry watched as the TF Adaptive was revealed last year at the

2013 Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter Conference. Attendees saw first-hand

how Adaptive Motion technology combined with the already familiar and trusted

Twisted File could change the way they clean and shape root canals.

TF Adaptive Allows For :

• Stress relief to avoid file separation based
on the amount of pressure placed on the file

• Decreased file pull-in

• Less apical debris extrusion

• Intuitive color-coding for efficiency and ease of use

• Minimum number of files used

• Improved file durability

TF Adaptive was even named one of Dentistry

Today’s Readers’ Choice Top 25 Endodontic
Products of 2013.

Now, one year later, endodontists and general

practitioners who experienced the positive effects
of TF Adaptive on their practices want to share
their findings with you.

The Impact on My Practice

“ I’ve treated more than 1,500 cases with TF Adaptive, which is

approximately 4,000 individual canals! TF Adaptive used with Adaptive
Motion has allowed me to have more confidence in my hands. I can
treat even the most tortuous canals with ease and comfort. When you
can treat patients in this manner you can stay on schedule and work in
a more relaxed unstressed environment.”
—Dr. Gary Glassman

“ The small sequence allows me to predictably and safely treat canals

with complex curvatures. The medium-large sequence is similar to a
single file technique, but by adding a second size 35 instrument (which
takes only 5 to 10 seconds) greatly improves apical shaping, allowing 20
to 30 percent better enlargement than size 25. Additionally, it provides
the space needed for irrigation. This means better quality of apical
preparation and irrigation, due to better removal of bacteria and pulp
tissue in the most delicate and important areas.”
—Dr. Gianluca Gambarini

What General Practitioners Should Know

“ TF Adaptive spans the skill set levels perfectly. If you’re a beginner, TF

Adaptive is great but if you’re an expert there is nothing you cannot do
with it.”
—Dr. Gary Glassman

“ An instrument like this takes away a lot of risk a general dentist would
encounter with root canals. The TF Adaptive is a very simple system
that will give someone excellent results and will keep them in that safe
zone. With that, the doctor has more confidence, can offer the patient
more compassion, and can really feel comfortable when treating root
canal cases.”
—Dr. Brett Gilbert

“ You put the file into the hand piece, follow the procedure card and just
feel the tactile change. You just let the file do the work for you—it’s just
so simple and easy to use.”
—Dr. Thomas Jovicich

My Favorite Feature of TF Adaptive

“ The intuitive color coding, modeled after a traffic signal, has made
setting up and using the TF Adaptive system easy and fool proof. Green
is the first instrument in sequence. Yellow is the second and, if needed,
Red is the third. Green means Go. Yellow means Slow Down and Red
means Stop. It certainly makes assistants’ lives easier with regards to
set up and sequencing.”
—Dr. Gary Glassman

“ Treatment outcomes are very consistent. If you can get the same results
yet have this very intuitive technology which helps keep the instrument
safe, you’re going to have a winner—and that’s what this is.”
—Dr. Brett Gilbert

“ For the first time there is a single solution, with an intelligent motor
which transforms the feedback received from instruments into a optimal
movement, performance and safety.”
—Dr. Gianluca Gambarini

TF Adaptive Really Helped When…

“ Other files may have separated in the canal: “The motor is able to react
immediately to avoid the situation where the instrument binds in the
canal, but continues to turn then eventually separates. The adaptive
motion motor gets feedback from the instrument, and if the instrument
is under too much stress, it backs off the power and reverses direction
to avoid separating the instrument. It’s a cool concept.”
—Dr. Brett Gilbert

“ I can choose between two sequences (medium-large or small). Different

approaches to canal shaping makes the TF Adaptive perfect for all cases.”
—Dr. Gianluca Gambarini

“ …the furcation side of the root is thin. The Small series of TF Adaptive
files fits the bill perfectly, providing conservative dentin removal but
just enough to allow accessibility for proper canal cleaning.”
—Dr. Gary Glassman

The Greatest Benefit of TF Adaptive

“ With the TF Adaptive, you’re faster, there’s less inventory and you’re
more efficient. It’s a win-win-win.”
—Dr. Thomas Jovicich

“ It is definitely the Adaptive Motion technology, which makes the difference—

you are in complete control of the file, rather than the file having control
of you. Every case that I treat reinforces my positive perception of TF
Adaptive, it is not only safer but more efficient.”
—Dr. Gary Glassman

“ TF Adaptive is simple, but it also delivers quality treatment. Better

quality of shaping and cleaning improves overall outcome.”
—Dr. Gianluca Gambarini
