3.

4 PROMOTION

This is the part where the company advertise and market their product. It is also known as
promotional strategy. There are many strategies that can be used by the company to convince
the customers to buy their products such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and
personal selling. Some of the target customers may be more receptive to a certain
promotional method than others. The promotion must be managed properly so that the
communication link exists between the sellers and buyers for the purpose of influencing,
informing and persuading a potential customer’s purchase decision.

3.4.1 Advertising

We choose social media as our medium to promote our products. There are many kinds of
social media that can be used to promote the products without paying such as Instagram,
Facebook, twitter and many more. Facebook is the most easy and popular social media to
promote the products. Below is the example of our Facebook page. We will use Malay and
English language to promote our products so that the people in different ages and countries
can understand about our products. All of introduction, processing, selling, distributing of
mango peels cookies will be written here. We will put the pictures and videos related to our
products from time to time. So, consumer can get the information and make decision to buy
our products.

For our cover photo, we put mango peels photo so that the customer know that we produce
the cookies from the mango peels. Profile picture is a picture of cookies which represents our
company’s manufacturing product. We also put company’s name as the profile name so that
customer can easily search our Facebook page. The price for mango peels cookies will be
exposed in this page.
3.4.2 Public relations

Public relation is developing a positive relationship between the organisation, media and
public. It focused on creating a favourable image of the company’s business through the
media and minimising the impact of negative situations. For example, the company can hold
the open house or involved in the community activities. They also can engage the local media
and hold the press conference. Our company had come out with the launching of our products
by creating the event. The event created is Energetic Aerobic. At the same time, we can open
the booth to promote our products and do the promotion during the event. We are also invited
the popular artist and the importance of becoming the early bird to attract more people to
come to our event.
